Day 1 Xi’an Arrival
Our guide will pick you up when you arrive at Xian airport. You will find the guide is waiting for you at the exit after you reclaim your luggage. When you meet, the guide and driver will drive you back to the hotel and help you to check in. the rest of the day，take your time to relax yourself after a long flight.
Day 2 Xian
Attractions: Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Shaanxi History Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show (Breakfast+Lunch+Dinner)
Today we will have a full and interesting trip in Xian, visiting 3 spots all together. In the morning, we will begin our trip at the world’s eighth wonder- the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. A delicious a la carte lunch at the best local restaurant will be prepared for you. After the lunch, we will drive back to Xian to visit Shaanxi History Museum, and then move to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Built in the Tang Dynasty, the seven-story pagoda has witnessed much changes and development of Xian in the past 1,300 years. In the evening we will have the dumpling dinner. After finish Dumpling Dinner you can enjoy the Tang Dynasty Dance and Music Show at Shaanxi Opera Theater.

Day 3 Xian-Lanzhou by Flight
Attractions: Great Mosque, Bell Tower and Drum Tower Square(Breakfast+Lunch)
After breakfast, you will first visit Great Mosque, a Chinese styled architecture complex which is the prayer place for Muslims in Xian. Then take a walk at the Bell Tower and Drum Tower Square. After that we will take an afternoon flight to Lanzhou. Our local guide will wait you at airport and the guide will escort you to hotel.
Day 4 Lanzhou
You will get to the Binglingsi Grottoes by boat and spend a whole day in there. Thanks to the good natural conditions and little man-made damages, the Grottoes have been well- protected comparatively. About 776 Buddha statues, over 1,076 square yards murals and 6 stones sculptures are remained here after a long history of 1,600 year. After the fantastic tour, we will back to hotel in Lanzhou.
Day 5 Lanzhou-Xiahe
Attractions: Sangke Prairie(Breakfast+Lunch)
Today you will enjoy a trip to picturesque Xiahe( 4 hours driving from Lanzhou). After a short break in the hotel, you will explore Sangke Prairie. It is a typical plateau grassland, covering a vast area of 27 square miles and being embraced by mountains, Sangke Prairie is a fantastic place to appreciate the magnificent pastoral scenery: the river is slipping slowly northwards and sheep and cattle are freely wandering about on it. Then, you will have a chance to call on a local Tibetan family to experience the local life.
Day 6 Xiahe-Lanzhou
Attractions: Labrang Monastery, Gansu Provincial Museum (Breakfast+Lunch)
Turn back to Lanzhou, you will have a visit to the well-known Labrang Monastery. What makes it so famous is that it is one of the six most renowned monasteries as well as the largest Buddhist Institute of Tibetan Buddhism. This monastery boasts tens of thousands of statues of Buddha made of various materials. It must be a special experience to watch the morning devotion there. Then, you will travel back to Lanzhou and check in the hotel again. After a short rest, you will proceed to Gansu Provincial Museum. It is the largest comprehensive museum in Gansu Province which holds about 350,000 pieces of ancient cultural relics, including contemporary and modern cultural relics, ethnic cultural relics and fossil specimens.
Day 7 Lanzhou-Dunhuang by Flight
Attractions: Water Wheel Garden (Breakfast+Lunch)
In the morning we will visit the Waterwheel Garden to see the model of environmental irrigation machine in ancient China. Then we will take a late flight to Dunhuang. Our local guide in Dunhuang will wait you at airport and escort you to hotel.

Day 8 Dunhuang-Turpan by Overnight Train
Attractions: Mogao Grottoes, Echoing-Sand Mountain, Crescent Lake (Breakfast+Lunch)
After breakfast, you will travel to the famous Mogao Grottoes which display a very colorful and descriptive world in the paintings. It is known as one of the four most famous caves in China. Then we will visit one of the most famous attractions along the Silk Road- the Echoing-Sand Mountain. When you slide down the slope, you can hear the roaring echo of sands, hence the name. A short camel ride (optional) will leave you an unforgettable memory. Riding along the mountain to reach the Crescent Lake, your eyes will be feasted on the crescent-shaped spring surrounded by the endless Gobi desert. It has not dried up over the past one thousand years and still gushes with fresh current. After the tour end our local guide will escort you to train station to take the overnight soft sleeper train to Turpan.

Day 9 Turpan
Attractions: Jiaohe Ruins, Karez Well, Sugong Pagoda(Lunch)
Today we are going to visit three famous places. In the morning, you will have an exploration of Jiaohe Ruins, which is one of the most important towns along the ancient Silk Road. It is also the largest, oldest and best-preserved earth construction in the world. Although 2,000 years have passed, the former brilliants of Jiaohe can still be found from the ruins. Then you will visit the well-known Karez Well, the gigantic underground irrigation system created by ancient Xinjiang people. There are over 1,100 Karez Wells in Turpan, providing precious water source to this dry and hot area during the past 400 years. The last stop of today will be the existed largest ancient pagoda in Xinjiang, Sugong Pagoda. The pagoda is a 44-meter-high (144 feet) Islamic pagoda, which bears a history of over 200 years.
Day 10 Day 10 Turpan-Urumqi
Attractions: Gaochang Ruins, Bizaklik Thousand Buddha Cave, Flaming Mountain(Breakfast+Lunch)
Today we will visit four famous sites all together. First is another famous ruin in Turpan, Gaochang Ruins, which used to be the capital of ancient Gaochang Kingdom. Then you will go to the Bizaklik Thousand Buddha Cave, a series of caves with thousands of Buddhism murals. The vivid murals show many Buddhism figures, stories, and the social life about 1,000 years ago in Ancient Gaochang Kingdom. The last stop will be the hottest place in China– the Flaming Mountain, situated at the north of ancient Silk Road. The temperature is so high that nothing grows on the mountain. The record highest temperature of summer could reach 47.8 ℃ (118 ℉). And then go to Urumqi, check in Hotel.
Day 11 Urumqi Departure
