  1. Day 1: Beijing Arrival

    Upon your arrival, the local driver will meet you by holding a name board. Then transfer to hotel.

  2. Day 2: Beijing
    Mutianyu Great Wall, Ming Tomb, Bird’s Nest (B+ L)

    AM: After breakfast, first you will visit the Mutianyu Great Wall. We will enjoy the urban and suburban scenery of Beijing city on the way. Mutianyu Great Wall is the most scenic part of Chinese Great Wall. It was built in the early Ming Dynasty at 1368 and stretches for 5400 meters. 90 percent of the Mutianyu is covered by vegetation. So in each season this part of the Great Wall will treat visitors with its unique scenery. If hiking is too much for you, cable car is available and optional.

    Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.

    PM: After the included lunch, we will come to the Ming Tomb. On the way to the Ming Tomb, you will pass through the Sacred Way. The Ming Tomb is the place where 13 emperors of the Ming dynasty (1368-1644) were buried. Finish the amazing hiking, you’ll end today’s tour with an exterior visit of the marvelous Bird's Nest and Water Cube which were built for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Walking around the outside of the building to appreciate the unique design and take some pictures would be perfect.

  3. Day 3: Beijing
    Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, South Luogu Lane, Houhai (B+ L)

    AM: Meet your guide and driver and firstly drive to the Tiananmen Square. Next we come to the largest as well as best-preserved imperial palace complex, Forbidden City wich was once the royal palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties with more than 70 big and small palaces and over 9,000 rooms. It is one of the largest and most well-preserved ancient wooden structures in the world. Walking into the grand and majestic complex, you will steep in China’s long history and marvel at this architectural masterpiece.

    Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.

    PM: After the included lunch, we will continue our tour to the Summer Palace, the most beautiful and the largest imperial garden existing in China, and it is the best-preserved imperial garden in the world. Afterwords, come to explore the time-honored South Luogu Lane( also called Nanluoguxiang). It is the only traditional residential area in China that has completely preserved the checkerboard-style layout of hutongs exclusively to the Yuan Dynasty. Walking around the alleys with your tour guide to feel the hidden culture and check out the bars, souvenir stores or cafes if you would like to. Houhai, known as Beijing’s bar street, is a large man-made lake which can date back to the Yuan Dynasty. Today your last scenic site will be here! In ancient times, the place was only for royal family. Now there are many bars, restaurants, cafes and shops along the lake. You can just walk around, do people watching, and try some snacks.

  4. Day 4: Beijing – Xi'an by Bullet Train (B + L)
    Temple of Heaven, Hutong, Local family

    AM: Today, get up early in the morning, follow your guide to enjoy the nice morning time in Temple of Heaven and see how local people spend their morning time in the square.

    Temple of Heaven, famous for its meticulous layout, unique architecture and magnificent decoration, this grand complex was built for the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties to offer sacrifices to the heaven and pray for good harvests. It was listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1998. You will definitely marvel at the craftsmanship and learn more historical facts about ancient China.

    Beijing Hutongs are full of history which attracts many worldwide tourists! Today your tour guide will take you to feel the charm of the hutongs in Shichahai scenic Area. Taking a rickshaw to ride along the ancient alleys, you will know more about the background information of the Hutongs, experience authentic old Beijing life, and witness the blending of tradition and modernity.

    After the exciting Hutong exploration, come to a local family who living in the Hutong and enjoy a homemade lunch with the friendly family. It will be a great chance for you to visit a real courtyard house - Siheyuan and and have a glimpse of the local people’s lifestyle.

    Noon: Lunch at local resident's home.

    PM: Then meet the driver in your hotel and transfer to train station for fast train to Xi'an. Arriving in Xi'an meet the driver and check in hotel in city area. Then please enjoy your free time.

  5. Day 5: Xi'an
    Terracotta Warriors and Horses, City Wall, Bell Tower & Drum Tower Square, Muslim Quarter (B + L)

    AM: Our tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel at 08:30am. Today’s first stop is the famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses. It was praised as “the eighth major miracle of the world” including Vault 1,2,3, with the total area of 22,780 square meters. It shows a much high level in handicraft and sculpture are the most significant archaeological excavations of the 20th century.

    Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.

    PM: In the afternoon drive back to city center to visit the Ancient City Wall. Tourists could optionally ride a bike to cover more distance on City Wall top in limited time. Then take a walk in the Bell Tower & Drum Tower Square to pay an outer visit to the two towers. After finishing here you will enter Muslim Quarter, the best known and colorful foot street in Xian. If you like our guide will escort you to some more alleyways in Muslim Quarter to see real life of Muslim people here.

  6. Day 6: Xi'an – Chengdu by Bullet Train
    Xian Museum, Small Wild Goose Pagoda (B)

    AM: After hotel breakfast meet your guide and driver and drive to visit Small Wild Goose Pagoda and Xian Museum to learn about the city’s history. After finishing here you will be escorted to train station for fast train to Chengdu.

    PM: Met by local driver and transfer to hotel in Chengdu.

  7. Day 7: Chengdu
    Panda Research and Breading Center, Jinsha Site Museum, Jinli Old Street (B + L)

    AM: After hotel breakfast we will pay a visit to Giant Panda Research and Breeding Center, one of the leading protecting and breeding bases of endangered wildlife in China.

    Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.

    PM: Continue your visit to Jinsha Site Museum. It is an excellent place to learn about Chengdu's history. There are thousands of cultural relics that can date back to 3000 years ago. You will follow your knowledgeable tour guide to appreciate the precious artifacts such as golden sun bird disc, golden mask, bronze standing figure and stone tiger, and get to know the stories behind them. You also can enjoy a leisurely walk around the lovely park.

    Then take a walk in Jinli Old Street. That street used to be one of the oldest and busiest commercial streets of Shu Kingdom. In that street tourists will see some typical elements of Chengdu lifestyle. E.g. Tea houses, taverns, bars, local snacks, handcrafts, local specialties, etc.

  8. Day 8: Chengdu – Chongqing by Bullet Train – Yangtze River Cruise Ship

    Meet your driver in hotel and transfer to train station for fast train to Chongqing. Arriving in Chongqing met by local driver and transfer to cruise ship port to board the luxury Yangtze River cruise ship.

  9. Day 9: Yangtze River Cruise
    Shibaozhai (B + L + D)

    After breakfast, the guide will give you a brief introduction of the cruise and the schedule. The next destination is Shibaozhai. Upon arrival, we will embark at Shibaozhai. It is famous for its fanciful architecture and many interesting legends. Enjoying a reputation of ‘Pearl on the River’, Shibaozhai has attracted 220,000 visitors from home and abroad every year. Now it has become the ‘little Penglai’ for visitors to overlook stunning river view. The Captain’s Welcome Party will be held tonight.

  10. Day 10: Yangtze River Cruise
    Three Gorges, Shennong Stream (B + L + D)

    Today will be the highlight part of your cruise. Along the Yangtze River, you will appreciate the unique scenery of theThree Gorges. There is the famous Shennong Stream on the border between the Wu Gorge and the Xiling Gorge, where you will disembark and take an interesting sampan adventure. You will take a small boat to navigate deep into the gorges. Sitting on the special local wooden boat, you will travel along the zigzagging watercourses and enjoy the grotesque rocks and picturesque scenery along the banks, accompanied by the folk songs from the trackers. The Shennong Stream adventure will last about 3 to 4 hours. Doubtlessly, the perfect natural beauty makes the best setting for your China holiday.

  11. Day 11: Yichang – Shanghai by Flight
    Three Gorges Dam (B)

    Today your amazing ship journey will end with an excursion to the Three Gorges Dam, which is the major construction of the Three Gorges Project. It is also known as the world largest irrigation project. When embark again, it’s time to say goodbye to your fantastic Yangtze cruise excursion.

    After lunch, you will take a flight to Shanghai. Upon your arrival in Shanghai airport, the local driver will meet you by holding a name board, then transfer to hotel.

  12. Day 12: Shanghai
    Shanghai Museum, Yuyuan Garden, Jade Buddha Temple, French Concession (B + L)

    AM: You will meet your tour guide in your hotel lobby in Shanghai. Today’s adventure start with Yuyuan Garden, a famous classical garden which was originally built for Pan’s parents as a place for them to enjoy a tranquil and happy time in their old age. Nearby is Yuyuan Market a bustling marketplace set in an old Chinese neighborhood with traditional architecture and shops selling everything from local snacks to various souvenirs.

    Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.

    PM: After lunch, continue to visit the hundreds-year-old Jade Buddha Temple. The temple was built to keep two jade Buddha statues which had been brought from Burma by a monk named Huigen. Then move on to visit Shanghai Museum at People’s Square. At last pay a visit to Old French Concession is a residential area of Shanghai once designated for the French during the colonial period and now is popular with tourists and expats and appreciated for its cafes, tree-lined avenues, and houses.

  13. Day 13: Shanghai Departure

    The driver will pick you up from hotel and transfer to airport for your flight back home. Service ends here.
