Day-by-day Itinerary
- Day 1: Arrival in Xian
Welcome to the ancient capital of the 13th Dynasty for our 6-day Xian and Huangshan tour! Upon your arrival at Xian airport / train station, the local driver will pick you up from the exit gate and transfer you to the downtown hotel for check-in. Free and easy on your arrangement for the rest of the day.

Your Xian tour begins with the world's heritageĀ Terracotta Warriors and Horses. After breakfast, meet your guide and drive about 1 hour to the Eighth Wonder of the World, located in Lintong. It is the burial pit of Qin Shi Huang's tomb. Here you will see three excavated pits containing nearly 8,000 terracotta warriors, including generals and cavalry, etc., which are magnificent and realistic. This shows the high level of sculpture art in the Qin Dynasty (221-207 BC).
Terracotta Army in Xian Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and then head back to the Xian downtown area for another historical highlight - the Ancient City Wall. It is the most completely preserved and the largest city wall in China, built for military defense in ancient times. Visitors can ride a bike around the city wall (optional, at your own expense).
Afterward, follow your guide to take a nice stroll down Shuyuanmen Ancient Culture Street. This quaint street lined with many shops selling the four basic items for Chinese calligraphy (writing brush, ink stick, ink slab, and paper) is different from any other streets in Xian. The structures built in the style of the Ming and Qing dynasties add the place more charm. If you are interested in Chinese arts and crafts, you can pick some souvenirs here.
Last, go to Yongxingfang Food & Culture Quarter. The street is an amazing place to sample some delicious local food and see how the local people relax themselves. There are plenty of food options. After the tour in Xian, drive you back to your hotel.

As one of the most famous historical cities, Xian has lots of interesting places to go! Today you will explore the must-see sights in the Xian downtown area.
The first site will beĀ Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It was originally built to hold Buddhist sutra and figurines of the Buddha that Xuanzang brought back from India in the Tang Dynasty, 652 A.D.
Later, continue your visit to Bell and Drum Tower Square, which is located in the very center of the city and is considered the symbol of this old capital. Walking forward, you will come to the Muslim QuarterĀ where you can find many special local products and authentic local snacks.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda Have lunch in a local restaurant in the Muslim Quarter, and you will head to the airport.
On the way, pay a visit to the Yangling Mausoleum of the Han DynastyĀ which is shared by the fourth emperor of the Han Dynasty Liu Qi, and his Empress Wang. This place is famous because it is the first complete underground museum with advanced relic protection technology in the world.
After that, continue driving to Xian airport for your flight to Huangshan. Upon arrival, a Huangshan local driver will pick you up from the exit gate and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. Have a good rest for tomorrow's hiking!

Hanyangling Museum - Day 4: Mount Huangshan TourHike Huangshan, Admire Unique Landscapes, Enjoy Stunning Sunrise
After hotel breakfast, meet your local guide and drive for around 1.5 hours toĀ Huangshan Mountain. Upon arrival, take the shuttle bus toĀ Cloud Valley TempleĀ and then take a cable car up the mountain.
Start your Huangshan tour of hiking to enjoy the beautiful scenery at theĀ North Sea Scenic Area. Along the way, you can see the various shapes of pine trees and rocks, such as the famousĀ Beginning-to-believe PeakĀ and Black Tiger Pine.
Continue hiking to theĀ Cloud-dispelling PavilionĀ in the afternoon. Built in the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), it is a great place to view the magnificent sunrise. If you are physically fit, you can walk more to enjoy the view of theĀ West Sea Grand Canyon.
Tonight you will stay at a hotel on the mountain to catch the sunrise the next day.

Yellow Mountain Hike - Day 5: Yellow Mountain TourWitness Sunrise Views and Explore Ancient Streets
If the weather permits, you will wake up early this morning to enjoy the magnificent sunrise scenery. After the visit, return to your hotel for breakfast.
After checking out, continue your Mount Huangshan tour and hike to the second peak of Yellow Mountain,Ā Bright SummitĀ (6,102 feet), to enjoy the strangeĀ Flying-Over Rock. Afterward, go to Lion Peak to seeĀ Monkey Watching the Sea. Walk back to Yungu Station and take the cable car down the mountain.
After that, you will be transferred back to Huangshan city center to exploreĀ Tunxi Ancient Street. With a total length of 1,272 meters, it is the best-preserved ancient street in China with the most architectural styles of the Southern Song Dynasty and the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Surrounded by mountains and water, the street consists of more than 300 Huizhou-style buildings and is lined with stores selling tea, cultural treasures, and specialties from Huizhou.
After the tour in Huangshan downtown, go back to your hotel.

Tunxi Ancient Street - Day 6: Huangshan Village Tour & DepartureDiscover Traditional Villages Rich in Huizhou Culture
Today you will explore the real local culture in old villages. Hongcun and Xidi are the two major ancient villages in Yixian County, famous for their Huizhou-style architecture and beautiful natural scenery.
Hongcun VillageĀ is backed by the remaining veins of Huangshan Mountain, in the shape of a "cow" layout. Here the South Lake and the Moon Pond are like pearls inlayed.Ā Xidi VillageĀ is shaped like a boat. With the lake in front of the village sparkling, Ming and Qing dynasty ancient houses are scattered.
Xidi Village Both villages have preserved a large number of ancient buildings of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Whether it is the quiet Hongcun or the idyllic Xidi, it is excellent for photography and exploring Hui culture.
