Day1 Dunhuang Arrival
When you arrive in Dunhuang, our local driver will meet you at airport and then transfer you to hotel. The rest day is free.
Day2 Dunhuang -Turpan by Soft Sleeper Train
Attractions: Mogao Grottoes, Echo-Sand Mountain, Crescent Lake (Breakfast+Lunch)
In the morning pick up from hotel lobby by our local guide and directly transfer to visit Mogao Grottoes, one of the four most famous caves in China and a rare pearl on the Silk Road. Then visit one of the most famous attractions along the Silk Road- Echo-Sand Mountain. When you slide down the slope, you can hear the roaring echo of sands, hence the name. Then take a walk you will arrive at Crescent Lake, your eyes will be feasted on the crescent-shaped spring surrounded by the endless Gobi desert. It has not dried up over the past one thousand years and still gushes with fresh current. Afterward be transferred to train station for overnight soft sleeper train to Turpan.

Attractions: Bizaklik Thousand Buddha Cave, Astana Tombs, Flaming Mountain (Lunch)
When you arrive in Turpan our local guide will meet you at train station and transfer to the Bizaklik Thousand Buddha Cave, a series of caves with thousands of Buddhism murals. The vivid murals show many Buddhism figures, stories, and the social life about 1,500 years ago in Ancient Gaochang Kingdom. Next will continue to visit Astana Tombs, it is a shared burial area of different ethnics in ancient time. It is known as the “Underground Museum of Turpan”. Then we will continue to Flaming Mountain situated at the north of ancient Silk Road. The temperature is so high that nothing grows on the hill. The record highest temperature of summer could reach 47.8 ℃ (118 ℉).
Day4 Turpan – Urumqi by Car
Attractions: Jiaohe Ruins, Karez Well, Sugong Pagoda (Breakfast+Lunch)
In the morning pick up from hotel lobby by local guide and transfer to visit Jiaohe Ruins which is one of the most important towns along the ancient Silk Road. It is also the largest, oldest and best-preserved earth construction in the world. Next continue the tour to Karez Well, the most important irrigation system in the past thousands of years which made Turpan an oasis in desert. At last we will visit the Sugong Pagoda built in the Qing Dynasty. It is the largest existed ancient Islamic pagoda in Xinjiang. Back to hotel after visiting here.
Day5 Urumqi- Kashgar by flight
Attractions: Xinjiang Museum, Heavenly Lake (Breakfast+Lunch)
In the moring meet your guide at hotel lobby and start to visit Xinjiang Museum where the exhibits and instructions will tell you past and current situation of Xinjiang. After that drive to visit Heavenly Lake. 100 kilometers away from city of Urumqi, Heavenly Lake gives the impression of nobleness, elegance and beauty. Clear lake, snow mountains and soaring pin trees compose the charming scenery of the Heavenly Lake. After the tour be transferred to airport for flight to Kashgar. When you arrive in Kashgar, our local driver will meet you at airport and transfer to hotel.
Attractions: Sunday Market, Id Kah Mosque, Old Street of Kashgar, Abakh Khoja Tomb (Breakfast+Lunch)
In the morning we will firstly pay a visit to local market which is known as Sunday Market which used to be the largest international trade market in northwest China. Traders at home and abroad come to exchange all kinds of goods, such as Silk, salt, fur, perfume, ivory. Next we will visit the Id Kah Mosque, a typical Islamic architecture like domes, minarets and arches, as well as pious prayers. It has a 500 years history. Then take a walk around the Old Street of Kashgar to see the old-style local dwellings and real life of ordinary people. The last stop in Kashgar will be the Abakh Khoja Tomb, which is an ancient Islamic building complex and a cemetery. Five generations of a famous Islamic master were buried here. It is considered as the largest dome architecture in the east of the cemetery. Then back to hotel.

Day 7 Kashgar Departure
Pick up from hotel by lo cal driver at confirmed time and transfer to airport for flight departing.
