Day 1 Xian-Lanzou by Soft-sleeper Train
Hotel pickup by our driver in Xian at confirmed time and transfer to train station for overnight train to Lanzhou.We will book the train tickets and send them to your hotel in advance.

Day 2 Lanzhou -Xiahe by Private Car
Attractions: Yellow River Park, Binglingsi Grottoes (Lunch)
In the morning you will arrive in Lanzhou.Our local guide will meet you at train exit and drive to visit Yellow River Park. Yellow River is the mother river of Chinese nation and when walking along the river you will see quiet e few highlights offered by the river or built by local people. After visit here we will drive to visit Binglingsi Grottoes by boat and spend a whole day in there. Thanks to the good natural conditions and little man-made damages, the Grottoes have been well- protected comparatively. About 776 Buddha statues, over 1,076 square yards murals and 6 stones sculptures are remained here after a long history of 1,600 years.In the evening, arrive in Xiahe and check in local hotel.

Day 3 Xiahe-Lanzhou by Car
Attractions: Labrang Monastery (Breakfast+Lunch)
After hotel breakfast, you will have a visit to the well-known Labrang Monastery. What makes it so famous is that it is one of the six most renowned monasteries as well as the largest Buddhist Institute of Tibetan Buddhism. This monastery boasts tens of thousands of statues of Buddha made of various materials. It must be a special experience to watch the morning devotion there. In the afternoon, you will be escorted back to Lanzhou. The rest day will be free for you.
Day 4 Lanzhou -Wuwei by Car
Attractions: Leitai Han Tomb, Confucius Temple (Breakfast+Lunch)
Today you will be escorted to Wuwei by car. After arrival, you will visit three sites. The first one is Lei Tai Tomb. It was built in the late Han Dynasty. Now it is famous for excavating the cultural treasure bronze galloping horse. Then continue to visit Confucius Temple. Confucius is the great educator in ancient China and there are Confucius Temples in may cities in China. Rest of the day is free at your disposal

Day 5 Wuwei-Zhangye by Car
Attractions: Giant Buddha Temple, Bell Tower, Drum Tower(Breakfast+Lunch)
In the morning pick up by our driver and guide and drive for about 3 hours to arrive in Zhangye. Upon arrival, we will first have a visit to Giant Buddha Temple, which is the centerpiece of Zhangye in Gansu Province. It is located in the southwest corner of Zhangye. The magnificent Giant Buddha Temple owns the position of the largest architectural relic of the western Xia (1038-1227) period. As the well-preserved and largest reclining Buddha, its calm and amiable expression and natural looking moves all visitors. Later pay a visit to the Bell Tower and the Drum Tower in downtown area and at last transfer back to hotel.

Day 6 Day 6 Zhangye-Jiayuguan by Car
Attractions: Jiayuguan Pass, Wei-Jin Art Gallery(Breakfast+Lunch)
Driving westward, we will arrive in Jiangyuguan City and visit the well-known Jiayuanguan Pass. As one of the most grandiose ancient forts on the Silk Road, JIayuguan was named the First Pass under Heaven. Then you will proceed to the First Fire Tower of Great Wall, known as the west end of the Ming-dynasty Great Wall. The 56-meter-high (184 feet) tower stands on the cliff of the Gobi desert, with the Talai River flowing by and the majestic Jiayuguan Pass at a distance. Then the next stop is the Wei-Jin Art Gallery. Named Wei-Jin Mural Brick Tomb, it is a huge tomb group with more than 1,400 tombs. What is the most amazing is that they all were constructed in the 3rd and 5th century during the Wei and Jin dynasties. Regarded as the largest underground gallery in the world, it houses a huge collection of murals, bringing you back to the Wei and Jin dynasties about 1,500 years ago
Day 7 Jiayuguan -Dunhuang by Train
Attractions: Mogao Grottoes, Dunhuang Museum (Breakfast+Lunch)
In the early morning pick up from hotel and transfer to train station for train T303(07:25/10:27) or similar train to Liuyuan Train station from where your local guide and driver in Dunhuang will pick you up by holding your name and directly transfer to visit Mogao Grottoes, one of the four most famous caves in China and a rare pearl on the Silk Road. Afterwards we will drive to downtown Dunhuang to visit Dunhuang Museum where the numerous exhibits will explain the story of Dunhuang City and the development of the ancient Silk Road in every details. Afterwards back to hotel.
Day 8 Dunhuang -Xian by Flight
Attractions: Echoing-Sand Mountain, Crescent Lake(Breakfast+Lunch)
In the morning you will be pick up from hotel by our local guide and then visit one of the most famous attractions along the Silk Road- Echoing-Sand Mountain. When you slide down the slope, you can hear the roaring echo of sands, hence the name. Then take a walk you will arrive at Crescent Lake, your eyes will be feasted on the crescent-shaped spring surrounded by the endless Gobi desert. It has not dried up over the past one thousand years and still gushes with fresh current. Afterward be transferred to airport for flight to Xian. When the flight arrives in Xian our local driver will meet you at airport terminal and transfer you to hotel.
