Why is Xian Metro Worthy of Trying?

Xian subway is of great characteristics. Each station is decorated with a large number of reliefs, cultural walls and so on. The ornamental material and style are also not the same such as metal process, modern technology, ceramic and granite. Along the subway route, you will follow our guide to stop by 2-4 stations, getting off to visit several famous spots where you can feel strong locally humanistic and distinctive atmosphere. You probably will stop at 4 stations and their highlights are as below:

Zhonglou Station: you can visit famous Bell & Drum Tower Square and Muslim Street here. Bell Tower is located at the center of Xian city, and Muslim Street is a good place to try local snacks. Visitors can stroll on the square, passing dazzling souvenirs or artifacts shops & snack stalls.

Yongningmen Station: it’s the nearest subway station to the South Gate of City Wall. South Gate is a popular place for young people to play music. You will also see a special way of exercise popular among middle-aged and elderly people in China (Square Dance). Additionally, you can visit the City Wall, the largest and best-preserved city wall in China. It was built for military defense in the ancient time. Visitors can optionally ride a bike on the top of the City Wall.

Xiaozhai Station: Xiaozhai is regarded as the most youthful trading area in Xian. The famous Saga International Shopping Center is right here. It combines shopping, catering, entertainment and other services. One of the attractions in Saga is the longest indoor escalator in Asia with a length of 50.3 meters.

Dayanta Station: there’s a large plaza at the foot of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a world-famous Buddhist holy land. The plaza is the largest Tang-themed cultural square in Asia and has become a cultural tourist attraction for not only local people to relax themselves but also for travelers to feel the charm of the ancient capital. Music Fountain is one of the biggest highlights here. It is the largest fountain square in Asia, even the world.

Kind notice:

*You can choose and decide how many stations to stop at and enjoy the scenery at your own pace. The tour usually lasts 6 ~ 7 hours in total.

*The night view of the South Gate and Big Wild Goose Pagoda Plaza is really fascinating, so it is suggested to go to Yongningmen & Dayanta Station at last.

*Meal suggestion is always kindly offered by your local experienced guide.
