Most foreign visitors’ main interest in Xian is the underground terracotta army. There are many other things to do in Xian. This tour will give you a new appreciation for this ancient capital. On the first day, you will see thousands of clay figures buried to guard China’s first emperor 2,000 years ago, stroll or even cycle on the Ming Dynasty City Wall, and mingle with the locals on a bustling square; on the second day, you will travel from Xian to Yangxian County to observe beautiful endangered bird crested ibis; on the third day, you will have a glimpse of lovely panda‘s life that many people always dream of, playing, eating and napping. Our helpful tour guide and driver will take good care of you and bring you a fantastic experience.

Our excellent English-speaking guide and driver will pick you up from your downtown hotel in the morning and then escort you to Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses. Known as “the Eighth Wonder of the World” and one of the most significant archaeological discoveries in the 20th century, the museum shows a surprisingly high level in sculpture. The splendid battle formation will leave you an impressive memory. After lunch, continue to visit Xian Ancient City Wall, the most completely preserved and largest city wall in China. It was built for military defense in the Ming Dynasty. You can optionally ride a bike on the top of the City Wall to see the city from a unique angle. Next, we will move on to Bell Tower and Drum Tower Square which sits at the center of the ancient city. We will stroll around to admire the two magnificent towers from a distance. The Bell Tower houses a huge bell which was originally used to tell time every morning in ancient times. Now it is seen as a symbol of Xi’an. At last, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 2 Yangxian County
Attractions: Yangxian County (Breakfast)
After breakfast, meet the guide and driver at your hotel and head to Yangxian County to visit Crested Ibis Nature Reserve. The crested ibis was once widespread in Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan, and Russia. It has disappeared from most of its former habitats. Now the remaining population is found only in Shaanxi province of China. We will spend half day there and then check in at the local hotel. Please note that today’s lunch will be on your own.
Accommodation: Bai Yun Hotel (Kind notice: Since Yangxian is just a county, the service facilities there are poor and it may not meet your expectation.)
