China’s president Xi Jinping proposed building a new Silk Road Economic Belt during his official visit to Kazakhstan in 2013 to enhance economic development and social prosperity for countries along the ancient Silk Road.With the cooperation of China, Kyrghistan, and Kazakhstan, the Silk Road is approved as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in June 2014.
