Thailand’s Chinese Package Tour Arrivals over 2 millions in 2012

Reporter learned from Kunming Office of Thailand Tourism Authority that China’s package tour arrivals have been over 2 million this year so far and it is predicted that it will reached 2.2 million by the end of the year.

Thailand enjoys reputations of “Land of Smile”, “Country of Thousand of Buddhas”, “Kingdom of White Elephant”, “Paradise of Fruit” etc, in addition, it posses “east Hawaii — Pattaya”, “austral promised land—Phuket Island”, “Northern Rose—Chiang Mai”, “city of angels—Bangkok” and so on. Tourists will find the tours and destinations they prefer, no matter from perspective of local culture, natural beauty, leisure tourism or adventure tourism. So far, Thailand has become one of the favorite short-haul destinations for Chinese outbound citizens, only after Hongkong, Macao, Taiwan and Japan.

Facing the rapid development of China’s tourism market, Tourism Authority of Thailand has worked out a long-term plan and preparation to cope with the increasing tourists. Besides, some featured tourism products are launched out for those who are interested in, such as forest golf, health spa, Thai food, fashionable shopping and romantic wedding trip etc.
