Food is an important part of traveling. You may remember a city forever because of a dish you’ve tried. On this Xian night food tour, our local guide will lead you to try various delicious local foods hidden in the small lanes and share the history and culture of the dishes and Muslim Quarter with you. You may feel like a local wandering around the bustling street. You will have an unforgettable culinary experience.
Highlights:
1. Try authentic Xi’an snacks, such as Chinese hamburger – Roujiamo, Soup dumplings, Ice Peak (a kind of orange juice-like soda drink), and lamb & beef skewers.
2. Learn about the immigration history of Muslim people there and the history of Muslim Quarter from a knowledgeable guide.
If your hotel is near the Bell Tower, your guide will meet you at your hotel lobby in the late afternoon. If the hotel is far away from the Bell tower, your guide will meet you at east foot of Drum Tower (Gulou, 鼓楼). Then the gourmet tour starts! First, your guide will explain immigration history of Muslim people there and the history of Muslim Quarter. Walking for a while you will arrive at the Fanji Restaurant, a well-known local eatery. In the restaurant you will try authentic Chinese hamburger, Roujiamo. A can of Ice Peak (a kind of orange juice-like soda drink) is a good match for Roujiamo. After that you will continue the food tour to Jiasan Steamed Buns Restaurant (Jiasan Guantangbao, 贾三灌汤包). Your taste buds will be surely satisfied by the sauce and the fillings. The next stop is a small local style BBQ resturant. At last, have a cup of Ice Peak or Plum Juice and end the evening gourmet tour with a delicate persimmon pancake.

After satisfying your stomach, you and your guide will stroll around the Muslim Quarter for a while and then get back to the east foot of Drum tower. You will arrange your own way back to hotel.
