With good luck, you may come across fishermen who use cormorants for fishing. After arriving in Yangshuo, take a tour on West Street, which combines the essence of Chinese and Western cultures. - Day 1: Guilin City HighlightsāExplore Guilin's Stone Elephant and Glowing Crystal Caves
Hello! Welcome to our 2-day Guilin tour. Your guide will pick you up at your center hotel and then take you to visit ElephantĀ Trunk Hill, a city symbol of Guilin. It looks like a big elephant drinking from the Li River.
Next, we drive for 30 minutes to ReedĀ Flute Cave. Also known as the āPalace of Natural Artā, this cave is about 180 million years old, featuring amazing rock formations - stalactites, stalagmites, and stone pillars, all lit up with colorful lights. One of the most impressive spots is the Crystal Palace, the widest part of the cave, which is 93 meters (305 feet) wide and features a large crystal-like lamp hanging from the ceiling.
Reed Flute Cave On the way back your hotel, make a stop to visit Seven Star Park, the largest park in Guilin city, where you can enjoy both natural karst scenery and historical sites. Last, have a good rest at your hotel.

- Day 2: Guilin to Yangshuo by Cruise, Back to Guilin by CarāCruise past Karst Peaks and Cormorant Fishermen on Li River
The highlight of the day is a 4-hour Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo. During the journey, you can catch some of the most magnificent karst scenery in China, see water buffalo in the rice fields and witness fishermen on bamboo rafts using cormorants to catch fish. Two of the most famous sights are Nine Horse Fresco Hill and Yellow Cloth Shoal, which is shown on the 20 RMB banknote.
Guilin Li River Cruise Tips:
- You will have lunch on the ship, which is relatively simple, so it is recommended that you bring some snacks.
- We have arranged a 3-star cruise ship for you. If you would like, we can upgrade you to four or five stars (at an additional cost).
After about 4 hours, youāll arrive in Yangshuo Town. Your driver will pick you up at the dock and take you to West Street, a lively place with over 1,400 years of history. It mixes old Chinese charm with a Western feel. You can enjoy local dishes, explore the nightlife, or learn more about the areaās history.
After your visit, youāll be driven back to your hotel in Guilin.
