Please make your own way to Luoyang airport byĀ 11:30 am.
Upon arrival, your local tour guide and driver will pick you up from the airport and drive about 1 hour toĀ Shaolin TempleĀ in Dengfeng City. Centered on martial arts training and Zen meditation, Shaolin Temple is the holy land known as the birthplace of Chinese Kung Fu. SomeĀ Kung Fu showsĀ by monks in the temple are available here, offering you a chance to closely feel the power and spirit of Shaolin Kung Fu. Besides the Kung Fu show, Shaolin Temple is also a place to see various ancient architectures from Ming and Qing Dynasties. With hundreds of stupas dating from 791 AD, theĀ Forest of PagodasĀ is a graveyard for eminent monks. Being built in different shapes and with different carvings, each pagoda is the tomb of a monk. It is another reason for Shaolin Templeās popularity, offer you a glimpse into the essence of Chinese ancient architecture.

Start today with a visit to theĀ White Horse Temple.Ā First established in 64 AD in Eastern Han Dynasty, the White Horse Temple is the first Buddhist temple in China. It is now a popular sightseeing destination in Luoyang thanks to the many ancient architectures, precious Buddhist statues, and tranquil surroundings. You can expect to see many Chinese and international stylized temples, precious statues, and unique sculptures here.
White Horse Temple Then, move to theĀ Longmen GrottoesĀ where the marvelous carvings rank first among China's grottoes. The over 2300 caves here have witnessed the rise and fall of history for thousands of years. Housing roughly 110,000 Buddhist images and statues, and extending over 1000 from north to south, Longmen Grottoes has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage in 2000.
