Highlights of This Tour
Hike Huangshan’s Iconic Peaks & Chase the Sunset: Spend the day wandering past jagged granite peaks and twisted pines, then settle in at Bright Summit to watch the sun go down. You’re staying overnight on the mountain, so no rush.

Wake Up Above the Clouds for a Huangshan Sunrise: Before the sun comes up, find your spot and wait. When the first light hits the peaks and the clouds start rolling below you—that’s the moment everyone talks about.

Step into a Living Chinese Painting at Hongcun Village: Narrow alleyways, old white walls, black rooftops. Walk down to Moon Lake or South Lake and see the whole village reflected in the water—like stepping into a painting that’s been there for centuries.

Travel Tips:
- Due to low temperatures and strong winds on the mountain top, a windbreaker or a light down coat is needed.
- Wear non-slip, comfortable walking shoes and bring a trekking pole.
- Let your travel consultant know your interests and fitness level beforehand, and we can tailor make the hiking route to fit you.
- The West Sea Grand Canyon closes from December through late March because of snow and ice. If you're visiting during that window, we'll adjust the hiking route accordinglyāno worries.
- Day 3: Huangshan DepartureSunrise on Huangshan Mountain & Visit to Hongcun Village
Get up before dawn and walk to a nearby sunrise viewing spot. It is quite cold on the mountaintop in the early morning, especially in fall and winter, so wear warm clothes.
As the sky gradually brightens, you will see distant peaks emerge from the darkness. On clear days, the golden rays slowly light up the ridges and pine trees. If the weather is favorable, you may also see the sea of clouds.
Head to Dawn PavilionĀ and see the mountain peaks shrouded in thin mist. Continue to Monkey Watching the Sea. The rock sits on the summit of Lion Peak, resembling a monkey quietly watching the sea of clouds.
Monkey Watching the Sea rock on Huangshan Mountain After all visits, take the cable car downhill. The driver will pick you up at the exit and take you to Hongcun VillageĀ in about 1 hour.
Take a leisurely walk through the village. See the quiet waterways and Huizhou-style residences. When walking through the ancient alleys, look at the woodcarving doors and windows of the houses and observe local daily life.
Moon Lake and South Lake offer good photo opportunities. Their surfaces reflect the surrounding Huizhou-style buildings and distant green mountains.
Your guide and driver will then take you to the airport or train station for your departure. This ends your 3-day private Huangshan tour.
