- Day 1: Chongqing City HighlightsCapture the Light Rail and City Park Views
Welcome to our 5-day Chongqing tour! Upon your arrival at airport / train station, the local private will pick you up from the exit gate by holding a welcome board and transfer you to visit the Three Gorges Museum. Located at the heart of Chongqing City, this magnificent museum is a window into the history of the Three Gorges areas and a great place to explore Bayu culture.
Three Gorges Museum Next, head to the People's Assembly Hall, opposite the museum. This landmark building of Chongqing is mainly in Ming and Qing Dynasty styles, with a mix of Western architectural styles. In front of the hall is a square with a musical fountain and a grassy area. Locals will exercise here in the morning and take a walk in the afternoon.
Then, your guide leads you to see the Liziba Station of Chongqing Light Rail. This is quite a popular attraction in Chongqing, where you will witness the light rail disappearing into residential buildings. Liziba Station is not just an internet-famous site, it also symbolizes China's rapid development. Exit 2 is the best place to shoot.
Liziba Light Rail After that, we visit theĀ E'ling Park, Chongqing's first private garden,Ā located at the highest point of the city. The park offers a great location for visitors to overlook the entire city of Chongqing as well as the river view. You can also see many historical buildings in the park and the unique Stone Rope Bridge.
After the tour, you will be transferred to Wulong county, about 3 hours drive. We will visit the unique karst landscape in the area tomorrow.
- Day 2: Chongqing to Wulong Karst National Geological ParkExplore the Typical Karst Landscape, Covered with Lush Vegetation
Today is a highlights of this Chongqing tour. After breakfast, drive for 2.5 hours to Wulong Karst National Geological Park. In the park, you will be guided to board a sightseeing bus to the first highlight - Three Natural Bridges. The scenic area is famous for 3 magnificent stone arch bridges, namely Tianlong (Sky Dragon) Bridge, Qinglong (Celeste Dragon) Bridge and Heilong (Black Dragon) Bridge. They are the largest cluster of natural bridges in Asia, having been made by the wonders of nature. You can walk down the narrow pathway and enjoy the scenic beauty of the valley.
Wulong Karst National Geological Park Keep on with the sightseeing bus to Xiannv Mountain, a wonderful natural oxygen bar featuring vast alpine grassland, verdant hills, seas of forests and wide snowfields. Therefore, it is hailed as the āSwitzerland in the Eastā. For more fun, you can pay extra to experience some recreational activities including horse riding, archery and grass skiing. (optional)
After the nature tour, drive back to Chongqing downtown area and your tour guide will bring you to Chaotianmen Dock to board your Yangtze River Cruise ship. The check-in time is 18:00 - 20:00.
Fairy Mountain - Day 3: Yangtze River Cruise TourMake an Acquaintance with Yangtze River
Wake up early to capture the tranquil beauty of the Yangtze River before attending a morning Tai Chi class on the deck of a cruise ship. Chinese Tai Chi is a type of traditional Chinese martial art, as well as an important component of Chinese traditional culture. Tai Chi allows you to improve body strength and flexibilityĀ through slow and smooth movements. After the Tai Chi experience, have aĀ historical sight intoĀ the Yangtze River,Ā to learn more about this region. EnjoyĀ a soothing cup of coffeeĀ while capturing the great natural views.
In the afternoon, you will have a shore excursion to Shibaozhai Pagoda, this is a stunning 12-storey tower built into a mountain. Tourists can experience the magnificent scenery and learn about the unique Bashu culture by visiting the Heavenly Kings Hall, the white jade relief wall that depicts the story of Guan Yu, a general who became the god of war, etc.

Shibaozhai Pagoda - Day 4: Sail Through Three GorgesEnjoy the Breathtaking River Views along the Way
Today, your ship will sail through the breathtaking Three GorgesĀ (including Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge). You can enjoy towering peaks and lush vegetation along the riverbanks.
In Wu Gorge, we will change to a smaller boat to explore the narrower Shennv Creek. Here you can explore the most pristine valley. Also, you may experience the culture of the Tujia people through local music and dance performances.
Take a smaller boat to sail down the Shennv Stream Afterwards, return to the cruise ship for the Captain's Farewell PartyĀ in the evening, featuring music, dance and farewell toasts to celebrate the end of your Yangtze River cruise in a joyous atmosphere.
Optional Activity:
Today you have a chance to visit White Emperor City. During the Tang (618-907) and Song dynasties (960-1279), famous poets such as Li Bai and Du Fu visited this place and wrote a lot of poems. Therefore, White Emperor City has the reputation of "Poetry City". Surrounded by water on all sides, the highest point of the City allows one to overlook the Yangtze River and the surrounding spectacular scenery.
- Day 5: Departure from YichangFeel the Grandness of the Worldās Largest Water Conservancy Project
After breakfast, say goodbye to the captain and crew, and then disembark to visit an engineering miracle, the Three Gorges Dam. You can climb up to the 185 ViewpointĀ to get a closer look at the dam or climb the Tanzi Ridge for a panoramic view of the dam.
After the visit, you will take the bus arranged by the cruise company to the Yichang Three Gorges Center Cruise Terminal. There will be a dedicated driver to escort you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
