5 Days Guilin, Yangshuo and Terrace Field Photography Tour

Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Guilin Arrival

   Welcome to Guilin for the most beautiful landscape in China. Arriving in Guilin, the local driver will hold a welcome sign with your name or "China Xian Tour" at the airport or train station and then send you to your hotel. You're free for the rest of the day.

   Meal: N/A

2. Day 2: Guilin to Yangshuo by Cruise Ship
   Li River Cruise Past Buffalo, Cormorant Fishers, 20 RMB's Landscape

   In the morning, your guide will pick you up and lead you on a 3-star cruise ship. The 83-kilometer Li River cruise is often called "a gallery of Chinese landscape paintings." There are many landscapes along the way for you to take pictures: towering karst formations, rice fields with "working" water buffaloes, lovely villages, and the amazing scenery on 20 RMB note. If you are lucky, you may spot the fishermen catching fishes with cormorants.

   

   After about 4 hours, the ship reaches the dock in Yangshuo Town. The driver will pick you up and transfer you to Yangshuo West Street. It is 1,400-year-old, blending Chinese tradition with western influences. Spend your afternoon on the street, admiring ancient buildings, trying local snacks or purchasing little souvenirs. After that, you will be escorted back to your hotel in Guilin.

3. Day 3: Guilin to Longji Terrace Field
   Walk Dragon-spine Terraces and Watch Yao Women's Hair Show

   After breakfast, you’ll spend the entire day exploring the Longji Rice Terraces. Shaped by the Zhuang and Yao people into the hills, these stepped fields look like a dragon’s spine—hence the name “Dragon’s Backbone.” Your guide will lead you on a walk between small villages, where the rice paddies form breathtaking scenes: mirror-like water in spring, a sea of green in summer, and golden waves in autumn. Be sure to pause at the “Nine Dragons And Five Tigers” and “Seven Stars With Moon” viewpoints where you have many opportunities for photography.

   We’ve also arranged a special Long Hair Show performed by Yao women, who will display their glossy, floor-length hair. You’ll learn about their customs and the daily routines of both Zhuang and Yao communities.

   When the visit finishes, we’ll transfer you back to your hotel in downtown Guilin.

4. Day 4: Guilin City Exploration
   Explore the Riverside Karst and Crystal Caves

   Today marks the final day of your 5-day Guilin photography tour. Your guide will take you to visit Guilin’s famous Elephant Trunk Hill, which looks like a huge elephant drinking from the Li River. Next, Fubo Hill, 213 meters by the Li River, blends nature with 2,000 years of history.

   Then, you’ll go to Seven Star Park, the biggest park in Guilin’s city area. It combines natural karst scenery with interesting cultural sites. After that, a short 20-minute drive will bring you to Reed Flute Cave, known as the "Palace of Natural Art." Inside, colorful lights shine on stalactites, stalagmites, and stone columns. One of the main highlights is a large crystal lamp hanging in the center of the Crystal Palace, the widest area in the cave.

   After that, drive you back to your hotel.

5. Day 5: Guilin Departure

   Our driver picks you up from the hotel according to your flight time in the morning. Then you will be transferred to the airport. The 5-day Guilin tour ends here. Hope you have taken many satisfactory photos!
