Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Fly from Beijing to Harbin
   Enjoy Harbin's winter scenery and historic architecture

   Today, make your own way to the airport in Beijing for your morning flight to Harbin. The flight takes about 2 hours.

   On arrival in Harbin, your local guide will be waiting for you at the arrivals exit holding a welcome sign "China Xian Tour".

   Depending on your actual arrival time, you will first visit Sun Island Scenic Area. Sun Island sits on the north bank of the Songhua River, facing downtown Harbin across the water. If the Songhua River Sightseeing Cableway is open that day, you may take an optional ride across the river at your own expense for panoramic views over the frozen Songhua River and the city skyline.

   Sun Island in winter is best known for the Harbin Sun Island International Snow Sculpture Art Expo, boasting enormous snow sculptures across the park just like an open-air gallery.

   

   After that, head back into the city and spend some time wandering along Central Street. The 1.4-kilometer pedestrian street is lined with historic buildings, most dating back to the early 20th century, giving the street its unmistakable old-world character.

   

   Wander the street at your own pace, browse its shops and historic storefronts, and soak up the buzz of one of Harbin’s liveliest pedestrian areas. Along the way, try a Madieer ice cream or some Harbin red sausages.

   Next, see the exterior of St. Sophia Cathedral. Built in the early 20th century as a Russian Orthodox church, the cathedral is one of Harbin's best-known historic landmarks, featuring green domes and red brick walls. Take a little time to wander around the church square, a popular spot for photographing the cathedral and its surrounding streetscape.

   If time permits and the cathedral's interior is open to visitors, you may also visit inside at your own expense.

   After the visit, you will be transferred to your hotel and check in.

   Travel Tip: As this is your arrival day, the sightseeing schedule and visiting order may be adjusted according to your actual flight arrival time, weather conditions, and the site opening hours.

2. Day 2: Volga Manor Exploration
   Admire the Russian-style architecture and culture

   It’s about a 1.5-hour drive to Volga Manor, a Russian-themed cultural park set along the Ash River. The manor boasts more than 30 Russian-style buildings, with bridges, woodland and landscaped riverbanks.

   Once inside, start with the manor’s iconic Saint Nicholas Church. It is a reconstruction of a replica of a historic church that once stood in Harbin, featuring distinctive Russian architectural details.

   

   From there, continue to Pushkin Salon. A bronze statue of Pushkin stands in front of the red-brick building. Inside, discover exhibits that introduce aspects of Russian literature, art and culture.

   Next stop at Pavlov Castle, one of the manor's distinctive Russian-style buildings, and take in its castle-like exterior overlooking the water. Continue into the quieter Forest Villa area, where snow-covered woodland surrounds Russian-style wooden buildings.

   

   Subject to the performance schedule, you may watch a Russian-style song and dance show during your visit.

   After the visit, drive back to your hotel for the evening.

3. Day 3: Yabuli Ski Resort Tour
   Hit the slopes at one of China’s best-known ski destinations

   Your guide and driver will meet you at the hotel and drive you to Yabuli Ski Resort. The journey takes about 3.5 hours. Along the way, you'll enjoy plenty of winter scenery — mountain forests and snow landscapes stretching into the distance, offering a true taste of Northeast China in winter.

   

   In the afternoon, it’s time to get your skis on. You’ll have about 3 hours to practice on the beginner slopes. This arrangement is especially suitable for first-time or less-experienced skiers. Your guide will assist you with ski registration and equipment rental, including ski boots, skis, and ski poles.

   Yabuli is one of China’s best-known ski destinations, with slopes for different skill levels. And skiing isn’t the only way to enjoy the snow here. If you’re in the mood to try something different, you can also try activities such as snowmobiling or snow tubing at your own expense, subject to availability on the day.

   After skiing, transfer to your hotel in Yabuli and check in. Then enjoy the rest of the day at your own pace.

   Travel Tips: The standard itinerary includes approximately 3 hours of skiing on beginner slopes. Extended ski time and ski instructor fees are not included. If you wish to try intermediate or advanced slopes, please inform your travel adviser in advance so we can check suitable options based on your experience level and current slope conditions. For safety reasons, first-time skiers are strongly encouraged to book a private instructor ahead of time.

4. Day 4: Yabuli to China Snow Town by Private Vehicle
   Discover the fairytale winter scenery of China Snow Town

   Drive about 2.5-3 hours to China Snow Town this morning. In winter, abundant snowfall blankets the wooden houses, rooftops, and surrounding woods, creating the distinctive “snow mushroom” shapes for which Snow Town is famous.

   

   Upon arrival, your guide will assist you with check-in. Then wander through the village at your own pace — walk among the snow-capped wooden houses, and snap some distinctive snow scenery photos.

   In the evening, head to Xueyun Street, the main pedestrian street of Snow Town. As night falls, red lanterns and lights illuminate the houses. This is when Snow Town takes on a completely different look.

   Browse the local shops and snack stalls, where you can try Northeast Chinese winter snacks like tanghulu (candied hawthorn skewers) and frozen pears. Depending on the local activity schedule, you may even have the chance to join evening activities such as folk performances or a bonfire party.

   

   Travel Notes:

   Accommodation options in Snow Town are limited. This tour includes a standard twin room at a local guesthouse/hotel.

   Winter demand is high, so requests for accommodation upgrades should be made several months in advance and are subject to availability

5. Day 5: Snow Town Exploration
   Make the most of a free morning in Snow Town or watch the sunrise at Yangcao Mountain

   Enjoy a free morning in Snow Town at your own pace. The early hours are often quieter, with fewer visitors around. Soft morning light falls across the snow-covered wooden houses and rooftops, making it a lovely time for photography. Some photo spots require separate tickets. If you are interested, your guide can assist with tickets on site.

   If you don’t mind getting up early, you can also take the scenic area shuttle to Yangcao Mountain at your own expense and try to catch the sunrise, depending on the weather and local operating conditions. From the mountaintop, you’ll have a wide-open view of the surrounding mountains and forests.

   

   Around noon, return to your lodging to pack and prepare for the journey back to Harbin by car. The drive takes about 5.5 hours. Get some rest, or simply watch the snowy landscape pass by outside the window.

   Travel Note: Temperatures can be very low in the early morning. Please be sure to pack thermal layers, gloves, a warm hat, and well-insulated footwear to stay warm.

6. Day 6: Harbin Tour & Harbin Departure
   Meet Siberian Tigers & explore Songhua Riverfront

   Visit Siberian Tiger Park for a closer look at one of Northeast China's most iconic animals. Take the park's sightseeing bus through the tiger viewing area and observe Siberian tigers roaming from a safe distance. As you watch them move through their enclosures, you’ll also learn more about these magnificent big cats.

   

   Next, follow your guide to Stalin Park along the Songhua River. Stroll along the riverbank for views over the frozen Songhua River before visiting the Flood Control Memorial Tower. Built in 1958, the monument commemorates Harbin’s successful fight against the devastating 1957 Songhua River flood.

   After lunch, it’s time to say goodbye to the city. Your driver will transfer you to the airport or railway station according to your departure schedule. Your 6-day Harbin winter tour comes to an end here.
