Day-by-day Itinerary
- Day 1: Arrival in Chengdu
Welcome to join the 3-day Chengdu tour. Today, you have plenty of time to make your own plans and explore this laid-back city on your own. Here are some recommendations.
Free Time Ideas:
- Explore the bustling food areas, such as Kuixinglou Street popular with locals, and immerse yourself in Chengdu's spicy culinary world.
- Stroll along Yulin Road, made famous by Zhao Lei's song "Chengdu".
- At night, head to Jiazi Avenue where the Twin Towers of Tianfu and the illuminated Tower of Vitality shine together, creating one of Chengdu's most dazzling and enchanting night views.
- Day 2: Chengdu City ImmersionTo know every side of Chengdu: giant pandas, history and culture, and local life
Start with your tour at the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Base, where you can see vast bamboo forests and watch the pandas sleep, climb trees, eat, and play fight with each other. Mornings are when pandas are most active, and you might even see the internet-famous panda "Huahua".
Continue to Wuhou Shrine, the only temple dedicated to both an emperor and his subjects. Glimpse into the stories of legendary figures from the Three Kingdoms period (220-280) and learn about the pivotal events that shaped Chinese history.
Also, enjoy the dazzling interplay of light and shadow on the red walls and bamboo. This area is the most famous photo spot. A long alley of red walls, with sunlight streaming through the bamboo leaves, creates an amazing light and shadow effect.

Encounter "Huahua" giant panda in Chengdu Move to Jinli Street, a great place to experience Chengdu's slow lifestyle and folk culture. Built in the Sichuan residential style of the late Qing Dynasty, it showcases intangible cultural heritage like Sichuan opera face-changing, Shu embroidery, sugar painting, and is packed with Chengdu's characteristic snacks.
In the afternoon, slow down in People's Park. Sip tea alongside locals and watch locals engage in competitive games of mahjong. One of the most fascinating sights is the famous "Marriage Market" where parents exchange contacts to find partners for their adult children, offering a unique window into modern Chinese family culture and social life.
Optional Activity: Treat yourself to a traditional ear-cleaning service in People's Park, recognized as an intangible cultural heritage that captures the city's unhurried way of life.
- Day 3: Chengdu DepartureExplore ancient temples, historic alleys, and vibrant Sichuan opera performances
Take a leisure walk at Wenshu Monastery in the morning, the city's best-preserved Buddhist temple. Practise meditation in the peaceful garden, where vegetarian meals and tea ceremony experiences are offered.
Then, step into the timeless charm of Kuanzhai Alleys, a beautifully restored neighborhood where Qing Dynasty courtyards meet stylish cafés, artisan boutiques, and traditional teahouses. Wander through its narrow lanes and see how centuries-old heritage coexists with contemporary creativity.

Kuanzhai Alley with stylish cafés and traditional teahouses After the tour, transfer you to the airport or high-speed train station for departure. This is the end of your 3 days in Chengdu.
Optional Activity: Watch a face-changing in Sichuan opera, a magic in real life, where performers switch their brightly coloured masks in the blink of an eye to show the fleeting emotions of the characters.
Travel Tip: We highly recommend booking a flight or train ticket departing after 4:00 PM.
