Set out for Sichuan North Road, one of Shanghai’s historic commercial streets. Wander along this lively street lined with the traditional Shikumen buildings, historic sites and time-honored brands, a great place for photos.
Step into Jinchao 8 Lane for an immersive X-Meta experience. After choosing the projects that interest you, wear VR headsets and vests to start your exploration.
Popular options include Adventure in Dunhuang, Mysteries of the Tang Court, Mars Mission, etc. The visuals are combined with physical sensations such as vibration, heat, wind and weightlessness, making you feel as if you were in a movie scene.
Shanghai X-meta VR Experience At lunchtime, head to No. 3 Warehouse Restaurant, featuring a futuristic dining environment with luminous ceilings, reflective walls, abundant plants, tree-shaped columns and a spiral staircase. You will enjoy creative Chinese cuisine here.
Next, move to CapitaLand Guozheng Center for an unusual experience of the day — watching a drone deliver your coffee.
After the high-tech experiences, begin to see the city’s iconic attractions. The first stop is Yu Garden, a classical garden hidden in the bustling city center.
"Jade Linglong" is the garden’s most prized treasure. Don’t be misled by its name — it is not jade, but a thousand-year-old stone, about 3 meters tall, exquisitely carved and slightly translucent in appearance. Meander through its zigzag bridges and corridors to take in the pavilions, ponds, and rockeries.
Classic buildings in Yuyuan Garden in autumn Stroll along Nanjing Road toward the Bund, discovering century-old department stores and trendy shops along the way. At the Bund along the waterfront, admire the historic European-style buildings on one side and Pudong’s futuristic skyline across the Huangpu River.
