- Day 1: Beijing Arrival
Hello, welcome to 10 days China visa-free tour from Beijing to Hong Kong! Upon arrival, your private driverĀ will pick you up with a welcome board āChina Xian Tourā and transfer you to your downtown hotel for check-in.
For the rest of the day, you are free to wander around the capital city of China on your own. Houhai, an artificial lake, is highly recommended as a post dinner walking place. Local people call itĀ Beijing's Bar Street originated during the Yuan DynastyĀ (1271-1368). It wasĀ a royal family exclusive area during ancient times. You can findĀ many lit-brightĀ bars,Ā delicious restaurants,Ā leusire cafes and shops.
- Day 2: Beijing HighlightsExplore Imperial Stories and Traditional Hutong Alleys of Old Beijing
YourĀ tour guide will pick you up in your hotel lobby and first take you to visit Tiananmen Square, one of the largest city squares in the world and a symbol of China. In the center of the square stands the Monument to the People's Heroes.
The Palace MuseumĀ (formerly known as the Forbidden City) is adjacent to the north side of the square and houses the imperial palaces of 24 emperors from the Ming and Qing dynasties. As the world's largest and most well preserved group of wooden ancient buildings, itĀ along with Tiananmen SquareĀ constitutes the historical heart of this ancient city. Forbidden City served as the residence of Chinese emperors for nearly 500 years. Stroll among its magnificent hallsĀ andĀ theĀ guide will explain some impressive stories of the royal family to you.

- Day 3: Beijing Great WallVisit the Temple of Heaven and Hike the Scenic Mutianyu Great Wall
Understand how ancient Chinese emperors worshipped the heaven at the World Heritage Site Temple of Heaven. The Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is the core building, circular and three storey, paved with blue glazed tiles. In the nearby park, you can see locals doing fitness exercises or practicing Tai Chi. If you are interested, you can join them.
A family tour to Mutianyu Great Wall Then, drive to Mutianyu Great Wall. This section of the Great Wall has beautiful scenery with dense enemy buildings and varied views throughout four seasons, especially in spring when the mountains are covered in flowers and in autumn when maple leaves are fiery red. If you would like to save energy and reach high places quickly, you can choose to take the cable car (at an extra fee) directly to enemy building No. 14. Hike along the wall to the stunning No.20 enemy building and check out Hero Slope. In about 3 hours, you can experience thrilling toboggan down the mountain (optional). After that, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Note: For toboggan, children under 10 years must be accompanied by an adult and those who are older than 60 years are not allowed to ride.
- Day 4: Beijing to Datong by High-speed TrainExplore the Treasure Trove of Buddhist Grotto Art
You will depart from Beijing following your morning meal. The high-speed train will take you to Datong where you will explore the Yungang Grottoes. The site of Buddhist grotto art has existed since the 5th century AD and extends for 1 kilometer from its mountain excavation which has become a World Cultural Heritage site since 2001. The Yungang Grottoes currently include 45 main caves and 51000 stone sculptures which display a style that combines Indian and Persian and Chinese Central Plains elements. Your tour guide will show you the best spot to take pictures with the Buddha which represents the Yungang Grottoes through its open-air Buddha statue in Cave No.20.
Yungang Grottoes Next, be sent to Shanhua TempleĀ for further visit. It is the largest and most complete surviving temple complex from the Liao and Jin dynastiesĀ with a history dating back to the Tang DynastyĀ (618-907). In the Mahavira Hall, there are precious 24 heavenlyĀ statues of Liao DynastyĀ painted sculptures with different expressions and lifelike. You can also see murals from the Qing Dynasty depicting some Buddhist stories. In addition, appreciateĀ exquisite wooden carvings on the roofs of each hall in the temple. After the visit, you will be taken to a hotel in the center of Datong to check in.
- Day 5: Datong Architectural MiraclesDiscover Pure Wooden Pagoda and Dramatic Cliffside Temple
This morning, you will be taken to visit the oldest and tallest pure wooden tower in China - the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda.Ā Without a doubt, it is a miracle in the history of ancient Chinese architecture where not a single nail has been used. Despite thousands of years of rain, earthquakesĀ and wars, it still stands firmly. There are colored Buddha statues from the Liao Dynasty enshrined on each floor of the tower and you can visit them obly on the first floor.
Yingxian Wooden Pagoda After lunch, drive to Hanging TempleĀ located on the steep cliffs of Mount Hengshan, which is a unique temple of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. It is famous because from a distance, this temple appears to be suspended in air, 60 meters above the ground. The pavilions are connected by narrow corridors and stairs. Walking on them, you will feel thrilling and exciting, a totallyĀ unique experience. After the visit, escort you back to the hotel.
- Day 6: Datong to Xiāan by High-speed Train
After breakfast, take the high-speed train to Xi'an. After 5 hours, you will arrive at Xi'an Railway Station and your privateĀ driver will pick you up and sendĀ you to a hotel in the city center for check-in. You can tourĀ at your own paceĀ during the remaining time.
When night falls, you can head to the Tang Dynasty Never Night City, a pedestrian street themed around the flourishing Tang culture. The site does not serve as a historical landmark andĀ it uses Tang architectural elements and bright lights and live performances to recreate the active nighttime atmosphere of Xi'an which was the Tang Dynasty name for Xi'an.
- Day 7: Xiāan EssenceSee the Life-sized Warriors, Cycle the Ancient City Wall, Taste Muslim Quarter Snacks
You will meet your Xi'an tour guide this morning and travel for one hour to reach the Terracotta Army. The UNESCO World Heritage Site possesses substantial importance because it represents one of the most important archaeological finds from the 20th century. Enter this large museum and observe the life-sized clay warriors who were buried with China's first emperor in three pits. Your guide will provide you with historical background and excavation work of this breaktaking location.
Travel with CXT to Xian Terracotta Warriors In the afternoon, drive back to city center and visitĀ the Ancient City Wall. The wall which surrounds Xian's central area functions as a historical defense structure that dates back to the Ming Dynasty. ItĀ extends for 13.7 kilometers andĀ provide you with two choices which allow you to tourĀ the entire city and its historical sites through walking or rented rides.
NextĀ take photos at the most central landmark in Xi'an, the Bell and Drum TowerĀ Square. It only takes 5 minutes to walk to the hustle and bustle of Muslim Quarter. Bell Tower Square - Day 8: Xian to Hong Kong by Flight
Today you will fly to Hong Kong to see how Eastern and Western cultures blend perfectly here. After arrival, aĀ local driver will escortĀ you to the hotel for check-in. You can explore Hong Kong on your ownĀ during the remaining time of the day.
Take a stroll around Victoria Harbor, taste Hong Kong style dim sum and catch a glimpse of city life by taking the Dingding tramways. There is no tour guide service today.
- Day 9: Hong Kong Half-day TourEnjoy Panoramic & Close-up Views of Hong Kong Skyline
After you meet your tour guide, the first stop begins at Victoria PeakĀ which is one of Hong Kong's essential sightseeing locations that occupies the city's highest elevation point. The name of the place derives from the name of Queen Victoria. The Peak Tram takes you to the observation deck sitting 428 meters above sea level and provides you with a complete view of the Hong Kong skyline.
Ascend with the Peak Tram to the Victoria Peak The next destination isĀ Stanley Market.
