- Day 1: Beijing Arrival
Welcome to China! To ensure an easy travel, our private guide will pick you up at the airport and send you to the downtown hotel by a comfortable vehicle.
The rest of the day is free. We strongly advise you to take metro line 8 to Shichahai to relax. Itās a block comprising of lakes and bar streets. Evening sees the most beautiful moments there, when the warm orange sunset casts its glow on the lake surface. While strolling along the shore of Back Sea, you can feel the breeze gently brush your face. Not far away comes the sounds of bustling streets and faint music. All these present the leisurely ambiance of Beijing.
- Day 2: Beijing ExplorationOne Day Back to the Qing Empire
Today begins with a visit to the Tianāanmen Square. The imposing gate tower serves as the symbol of China.
After a brief tour, continue walking north for about 10 minutes to reach todayās highlightāthe Forbidden City. Itās a witness of the rise and fall of Ming and Qing dynasties. During the tour of approximately three hours, our experienced guide will lead you to stay away from the crowds and tell the secret tales hidden in these old palaces. Donāt miss the glazed figurines perched on the roofs. They are silent guards of the Forbidden City. Each bears a unique name and auspicious meaning.
Summer Palace In the Summer Palace, our guide will share stories behind the painted corridors, bricks, and stones, bringing the past to life with vivid narratives. Walk around the Kunming Lake and feel the vastness and tranquility of this imperial garden.
The Zhichun Pavilion on the eastern shore offers an excellent vantage point to take sunset photos. Itās a gorgeous scene where the Seventeen-Arch Bridge is outlined by the golden glows as the sun sets gradually.

- Day 3: Beijing Great Wall HikingA Day of Wonder: From Ancient Great Wall to Imperial Tombs
Weāve arranged a private car for you to get to Mutianyu Great Wall. Itās located in suburban Beijing and highly favored by foreigners. Here, the watchtowers are very dense and the scenery is enchanting with lush vegetation. Take a cable car for an effortless start. Then hike through the essence section from Watchtower No. 14 to No. 20.
Mutianyu Great Wall If your physical strength allows, plus, you are enthusiastic in photographing, be sure to climb to Watchtower No. 20 (aka the True Hero Slope). It occupies the commanding height of Mutianyu. There you can take in the magnificent panorama of the Great Wall winding like a dragon and capture it by camera.
The next stop is Dingling Mausoleum. Itās the only one among the Thirteen Tombs of Ming Emperors whose underground palace has been excavated. The only unearthed golden crown in China can be seen. It was woven from fine gold threads, demonstrating the zenith of craftsmanship of ancient China.
On the way back, take a short stopover at the venues for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. When the night falls, the steel mesh over the Birdās Nest is illuminated by red lights. On its opposite side, the Water Cube is glittering with an eerie blue glow.

- Day 4: Beijing to Xian by Bullet TrainSacred Altars and Rickshaw Ride Through Old Hutongs
Our tour guide will lead you to the Temple of Heaven this morning. Walk along the central axis and retrace the historical āSacred Wayā to experience the solemnity of ancient rituals. The core structure is the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. Itās renowned for the triple-tiered glazed blue dome. The craftsmanship is so superbānot a single nail is used.
Temple of Heaven Next, head to the Tiantan Park on the outskirts. Itās a window to observe the daily life of local residents, who practice Tai Chi, do morning exercise, and dance there.

Board a high-speed train bound for Xiāan.

- Day 5: Xian Terracotta Army TourFeel the Timeless Splendor of Xiāan Before the Terracotta Warriors
At around 8:00am, drive for the Terracotta Warriors. An hour later, an orderly array of pottery soldiers will come into your view. They number in the thousands, as tall as real humans, and each has a unique face and posture. This is not merely a visit, but more of a dialogue with the ancients from over 2,000 years ago.
Afternoon is arranged for a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Leave a classic photo with the pagoda against the red wall at the south square. Then climb to the tower top for a distant view where the outlines of urban buildings intertwined with the Qinling Mountains.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda Go to Tang Dynasty Everbright City for a night tour. The colorful lit street is lined with attractive Tang style buildings. Actors dressed in ancient costumes dance and recite Tang Dynasty poems. All these remind you of the heyday of Xiāan at Tang Dynasty.

- Day 6: Xi'an to Chengdu by Bullet TrainStep Back in Time in Xiāan Museum and on the Ancient City Wall
Compared with the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the Small Wild Goose Pagoda is quieter and less crowded. Nearby stands the Xiāan Museum housing a rich collection from Western Zhou Dynasty bronze wares to Tang Dynasty tri-color glazed ceramics.
Ascend the Ancient City Wall, the largest as well as the best-preserved one of its kind in China. Walking on the 13.7-kilometer-long wall, you can see a forest of modern high-rises on one side, while on the other side, the crisscrossing old alleys and blocks record the cityās past.
Small Wild Goose Pagoda Check in at the Bell and Drum Tower Square, a landmark on the central axis of Xiāan. After a few minutes walk west, here is the lively Muslim Street. The smell of roast kebabs and desserts permeate the air, making your mouth water. The boutiques on both sides are also very dazzling.
Finally, take a 3.5-hour high-speed train to Chengdu. Our local driver will pick you up at the airport and escort you to the hotel.

- Day 7: Chengdu Panda VisitA Glimpse of Chengdu: Pandas, Lively Streets, and Laid-back Lifestyle
Get up early this morning because we are going to see pandas. Under the guidance of the tour guide, rush straight to the house of Hua Hua, a super female star in the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Observe up close her daily routine: crunching tender bamboos, rolling on a wooden shelf clumsily, and enjoying sun bath.
Next, enjoy an aimless stroll on the Jinli Street that is flanked by old-style houses and red lanterns. The scent of local snacks like Zhong Dumplings and Dandan Noodles floats in the air. Occasionally, youāll see vendors make vivid sugar figures with hands. Itās very amazing.
Chengdu Panda The Peopleās Park is our next destination. Time seems to go slowly here. Stretch yourself on a bamboo chair and enjoy a cup of tea. Watch the locals chatting or busy playing cards and mahjong. The crisp sound of shuffle and the steam of hot tea present an authentic scene of life in Chengdu.

Ciqikou Ancient Town As the tour ends, our guide will accompany you to the Chaotianmen Dock to board the Yangtze River Cruise.

After a while, enjoy a hearty breakfast in the buffet restaurant. Then return to the deck to appreciate the ever-changing mountains on both banks.

Three Gorges When we arrives at Shennv Stream, transfer to a small boat and slowly enter a quiet valley that resembles a secluded heaven of tranquility. Itās time to bid farewell to the captain and crew. Weāll then disembark to visit the Three Gorges Dam. This giant project spanning the Yangtze River can be compared to a prominent miracle in the history of human engineering.
