AM: At 08:00 our guide and driver will greet you at your hotel lobby. After hotel pickup we will drive for about 1 hour to Deshengbu Fortress, an important pass of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall. It locates 45km north of Datong city. And since the ancient time the fortress functioned as the key point that connects Shanxi and Inner Mongolia. In the Ming Dynasty, there were five crucial fortress in north frontier of China: Juqiang Fortress, Jumen Fortress, Zhuma Fortress, Baoan Fortress, and Desheng Fortress. The ancient people call the fortress so in hope that win victory in fights with Tater.
Noon: Lunch at local restaurant.
PM: After the visit here board the car and drive for about 25 minutes to visit the Zhenchuankou Village, an unbothered centuries’ old village. Agriculture is the primary industry of local people. Close to the village there is the ruins of the rammed earth Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty. You will trek on the rammed earth Great Wall for 1-2 hours. Then board the car you will be escorted back to hotel in Datong downtown area at about 17:00.
