Welcome to Guangzhou! Your 3-Day Guangzhou Shenzhen tour begins with Yuexiu Park, Guangzhou’s largest park. As you walk, capture the greenery, the blue sky and the lake views, hold your camera and constantly frame shots — each frame brimming with the vibrant hues of the sunny season.
Snap photos at the iconic Five Rams Statue and explore the ancient city walls of the Ming Dynasty.
Then, climb the steps to the top of Zhenhai Tower (Guangzhou Museum) to take in a bird’s-eye view of the old city.
Step into Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall and admire the blue tiles, red pillars, and octagonal flying eaves. You can see how the philosophy of traditional Chinese architecture perfectly blends with Western architectural elements here.
The Statue of Sun Yat-sen Standing Tall Delve into the Museum of the Mausoleum of the Nanyue King, built on the original site, to view precious artifacts up close from the Nanyue Kingdom era two thousand years ago and experience its profound historical and cultural heritage.
Stroll along the millennia-old path of Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, where archaeological remains of the road surface from past dynasties.
Toward the end of the shopping street, you will see an ancient temple with a magnificent Buddha, the Giant Buddhist Temple. The ancient red-walled tower is hidden among the high-rises, separated by just a wall from the hustle and bustle of the city. You are recommended to come here in person to truly experience it.
Head to Huacheng Square, which is located right on Guangzhou’s new central axis. Gaze up at the awe-inspiring “CBD Trio” (Guangzhou Chow Tai Fook Financial Center, Guangzhou International Finance Center, and CITIC Plaza).

Then stroll to the Guangdong Provincial Museum and the Guangzhou Grand Theatre (designed by Zaha Hadid) to admire the modern architecture with its striking geometric beauty.

Pearl River Night Cruise: Take a boat ride to enjoy the night view. At 7:00 PM, the lights on both banks come fully alive. Lean quietly against the railing and watch the lights shimmer on the river’s surface — all your fatigue will be carried away by the evening breeze. - Day 2: Lingnan Architectural Art and the Slow LifeExperience the Architectural Style of Old Guangzhou
First, head to the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall (Chen Jia Ci). As the largest and best-preserved traditional Lingnan ancestral hall in Guangdong, it now serves as the Guangdong Folk Arts Museum. You can admire the breathtaking wood carving, brick carving, stone carving, plaster relief, ceramic sculpture, and bronze and iron castings, as well as exquisite traditional Cantonese arts such as ivory carving, jade carving, Cantonese embroidery, and Guangcai porcelain.
Don't forget to try some Cantonese dim sum—it's an essential part of experiencing the local cuisine. You can try popular options such as Crystal Shrimp Dumplings, known as the "King of Dim Sum," Siu Mai, and Char Siu Bao.
A wide variety of delicious Cantonese dim sum Head to the Lychee Bay Grand Theater and listen to a rich and beautiful Cantonese opera under the ancient banyan tree, experiencing a 'Livehouse' unique to Guangdong people; then take a stroll to the Lychee Bay Museum, wandering between Xiguan mansions and Republican-era Western-style buildings, witnessing the authentic old Guangzhou.
Then head to Yongqing Fang, a revitalized section of the old street, and explore the artistic cafés, intangible cultural heritage experience centers, and Bruce Lee’s former residence nestled among the alleys of blue-brick and granite stone.
Outside the residence, a sculpture depicting Bruce Lee sparring with his father, Li Haiquan, is a must-visit photo spot for many visitors. Go to Shamian Island and stroll through this open-air “museum of European-style architecture.” Under the shade of century-old banyan trees, admire more than 150 exotic colonial-era buildings — a perfect backdrop for photography enthusiasts.

Early this morning, take the high-speed rail from Guangzhou to Shenzhen (travel time approximately 1.5 to 2 hours).

As you explore the museum, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of “Ancient Shenzhen,” “Modern Shenzhen,” and “The History of Shenzhen’s Reform and Opening-Up.”
