5 Days Guilin and Yangshuo Tour with Club Med Resort

Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival, Guilin City Sightseeing
   Explore the Landmarks of the City

   Hello! Welcome to Guilin! Your English-speaking guide will meet you at the exit hall of the airport or train station. Then you will be escorted to the downtown hotel for check-in.

   Elephant Trunk Hill is today's first stop. Located on the banks of the Li River, it is named after its mountain shape that resembles a giant elephant drinking water. There are lush plants on the elephant's back. You can enjoy the "Water Moon Cave" between the elephant trunk and body, which reflects like a bright moon in clear days.

   

   Afterwards, we drive to Reed Flute Cave in the northwest direction. It is named after the reed that once grew at the entrance of the cave and could be used to make flutes. During a 500 meter long journey inside the cave, you can admire over 30 stalactite wonders such as the Lion Rock and Sunrise (狮岭朝霞) and the Crystal Palace (水晶宫), which have been formed for millions of years. Among them, the Crystal Palace is reflected in a deep blue light, featuring a huge crystal lamp hanging on the hall.

   After the visit, you’ll be taken back to your hotel.

2. Day 2: Guilin to Yangshuo by Cruise
   Relax in Karst Peaks, Idyllic Villages When Cruise on Li River

   There’s a well-known Chinese saying: “Guilin has the most beautiful scenery under heaven.” Today, you’ll enjoy those breathtaking views during a relaxing Li River cruise. On the way, take in the towering karst peaks, idyllic villages, the famous Nine Horses Fresco Hill, and the scenery that appears on the back of the 20 RMB bill.

   After the 4-hour cruise, we arrive in Yangshuo Town and check in at the hotel. After a short rest, immerse yourself in beautiful countryside of Ten-Mile Gallery. You’ll see rice paddies and farmers working in the fields. Stop by Moon Hill, where you can take photos of its unique moon-shaped hole.

   Later, your driver will take you to West Street. You can experience both the Eastern and Western cultures. Walk around to enjoy the relaxing vibe, garb a drink at a local bar, and try local snacks.

   Optional evening activity (extra cost): Watch the Impression Liu Sanjie, an outdoor show on the Li River with over 600 performers, most of them local villagers. Through the performance, you may glimpse the story of Liu Sanjie.

3. Day 3: Yangshuo to Club Med Guilin
   Enjoy the Countryside Views along the Yulong River

   After breakfast, follow your guide to enjoy the countryside views along the Yulong River - karst peaks, flowing streams, green farmland, riverside houses... There are different fun ways to explore the area, such as biking, bamboo rafting, or riding a scooter.

   If you choose biking, you will ride for 3 hours past fields, old houses, and a centuries-old stone bridge. Route: Yangshuo - Jima - Jiuxian Village - Shuiedi Dock - Gongnong Bridge - West Street.

   Bamboo rafting is relaxing and here are 2 routes for reference:

   Route A: Shuiedi Dock to Gongnong Bridge (about 45 minutes)
   Route B: Jima Dock to Gongnong Bridge (about 1.5 hours)

   Driving is the most comfortable way, which takes 30 minutes from Jima to Gongnong Bridge.

   

   After your visit, drive you for 1-hour to Club Med Guilin. Your guide will help you check in. Then, relax and enjoy your free time.

   Note: The Club Med Guilin is already included in the tour price. This means you can enjoy meals, drinks, activities, sports, shows, parties, and more during your stay. However, the exact schedule may change depending on the season and actual conditions.

4. Day 4: Whole Day in Club Med Guilin
   Have Fun with Over 20 Activities and Sports

   Good morning! Appreciate the beautiful karst mountain scenery outside the window. After a hearty breakfast, spend the whole day having fun at Club Med Guilin. You can choose from over 20 activities and sports. Options include Tai Chi, yoga, dance classes, mountain biking, archery, tennis, and so on.

   If you're traveling with children, take part in family-friendly games, creative workshops, and fun sports to build special memories.

   During your free time, you can relax with a drink and snacks by the pool or at a bar, or simply lie back and enjoy the peaceful views of the unique mushroom-shaped hills around the resort.

   

   After enjoying a delicious dinner with many choices, continue the fun by joining the night parties or live shows. Have a fantastic night at Club Med Guilin!

5. Day 5: Departure from Guilin

   The 5-day Guilin Club Med tour comes to an end. Check out of the hotel and you’ll be transferred to the Guilin airport or train station. Safe travels!
