Day-by-day Itinerary
- Day 1: Arrival in ZhaoxingTaste Dong Dishes and Enjoy Traditional Performance
When you get off at Congjiang Railway Station, your tour guide and driver are already waiting for you. After picking you up, you will be escorted to Zhaoxing. During this period, your tour guide will roughly outline your upcoming itinerary and precautions.
After arrival, check into your comfortable hotel located in the village. Lunch will be arranged at a local specialty restaurant to taste authentic Dong cuisine.
In the afternoon, the Zhaoxing tour takes you to visit traditional Dong wooden buildings. If you are interested, you can delve into the construction stories of these buildings and their importance in Dong culture.
Zhaoxing Dong Village Afterwards, visit a local family and taste Dong Oil TeaĀ and Fried Rice Cake. In the evening, you will enjoy a wonderful song and dance performance. This is a great opportunity for you to glimpse the cultural heritage of the Dong ethnic group.

After breakfast, drive to Huanggang Dong Village, which takes about an hour. Along the way, we will stop at a terraced field to enjoy the magnificent scenery layer by layer. Once you arrive, you will be led to explore Huanggang Village. The residents of Huanggang Village are all Dong ethnic group. The Drum Tower stands tall here, and the small stream in the village flows with a gurgling sound. The houses, water mills, and barns are arranged in a staggered manner, making it the most well protected Dong ethnic village in Guizhou Province.
Huanggang Dong Village Afterwards, go to Zhanli Village. The Drum Tower is a symbol of the region. You will learn about interesting local custom - the residents have been following the philosophy of "one couple has only one boy and one girl" for hundreds of years.
The Drum Tower in Zhangli Village In the afternoon, visit the Biasha (Basha) Miao Village, known as the 'last gun tribe'. The residents here have been specially approved by the public security organs to carry firearms. You will also learn about other ancient customs such as shaving hair with a sickle and worshipping ancient trees. If you are interested, you can participate in their ceremonial activities.

- Day 3: Departure from ZhaoxingExperience the Traditional Miao Technique of Wax Dyeing
After breakfast, the tour guide will take you to a village famous for wax dyeing production. Wax dyeing is a traditional technique in Miao ethnic areas and also one of the national intangible cultural heritages. Walk into a local dyeing workshopĀ and witness how white cloth turns into a blue hue, decorated with interesting patterns drawn with wax. You will try the ancient art.
A craftsman is making batik Enjoy some free time for relaxation on your own. Then pack your belongings and check out from your hotel. Your driver will escort you to Congjiang Train Station. This is the end of your 3-day Guizhou tour to Zhaoxing.
