Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Mutianyu Great Wall Exploration

   Your private guide will meet you at the hotel, airport, or railway station, and then drive for about 1.5-2 hours (70 kilometers) to the Mutianyu Great Wall.

   This Ming Dynasty Great Wall is extremely well-preserved and has relatively few tourists, ensuring an experience that exceeds your expectations.

   Take a fully enclosed cable car directly to Watchtower No.14. To the west, the Great Wall stretches among the mountains, all within your view.

   Hike eastward for 2 to 3 hours to Watchtower No. 6. This section is mostly gentle downhill, very friendly for the elderly and children. While walking, you can not only enjoy the beautiful scenery but also take stunning photos at the winding ridge and the majestic Great Wall.

   After arriving at Watchtower No. 6, the magnificent scene of the eastern section of Mutianyu Great Wall unfolds before you: you can admire the steep downhill to Watchtower No. 4 and the perilous ascent to Watchtower No. 1. If you are physically fit, it is highly recommended to climb to the 1st watchtower to overlook the stunning panoramic view of Mutianyu Great Wall.

   

   After the tour, choose to take the cable car or slide down. The open-air cable car allows your feet to hang above the forest while you enjoy the beautiful scenery in the clouds; while the slide is full of speed and excitement, it is the favorite among children.

   

   Return to the Beijing urban area and stop at the Olympic Park. Stroll in this open green space, closely and admire the magnificent appearance of the two Olympic landmarks - the "Bird's Nest" and the "Water Cube" from outside.

   The Bird's Nest demonstrates the power of its exquisite steel frame structure, like a huge steel cradle. The Water Cube adopts a unique membrane structure design, like a transparent blue water drop under the sun, full of vitality and the charm of modern technology. Enjoy taking pictures there.

   

   At the end of the trip, you will be transferred to your downtown hotel or to the airport/railway station for departure.

   Please Note:

   If you prefer a relaxed hiking experience or would like to take the fully enclosed cable car to descend, please inform your travel advisor in advance. We will tailor a specific route for you.

   The open chairlift has a stronger sense of suspension, so those with a fear of heights should choose it with caution.

   For safety reasons, people over the age of 60 are not recommended to take the slide; Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult for the experience.

   During peak seasons such as Labor Day in May, National Day in October and the summer holidays (July to August), the wait time for the toboggan can be 1 to 2 hours. Please allow ample time for this.
