Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Harbin

   So happy to have you on our 4-day private Harbin tour package! Upon arrival in Harbin, you will be greeted by your local tour guide and driver and then be escorted to your hotel by private vehicle. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore the city.

   Free Time Activity: Step into Zhaolin Park's ice lantern wonderland, home to over 300 ice sculptures ranging from the animal shapes to the grand Chinese-style gate towers. The sculptures are crystal clear during the day and are lit with colored lights at night.

2. Day 2: Harbin Ice and Snow Exploration
   Encounter Siberian Tigers and Lose Yourself in Harbin’s Winter Wonderland

   Meet your guide and driver at the hotel and set off to explore Harbin’s wildlife, snowy landscapes, and spectacular winter attractions.

   Siberian Tiger Park, one of Harbin’s wildlife attractions, is the first stop. Take a sightseeing vehicle through the park to observe Siberian tigers walking or playing in the snow or resting in the sun. You can also purchase meat strips to feed the tigers up close. Then, explore the walking area to see other animals like lions, bears and even small tigers.

   

   Continue to Sun Island, a wonderland of snow sculptures. Admire a variety of large-scale snow sculptures from Chinese and foreign artists, with imaginative figures, traditional motifs, and intricate details. The 24-meter-high snowman is the signature piece. Take a leisurely walk around the exhibition area and stop for photos as you like. You may also encounter two giant pandas at the panda house.

   Head to Harbin Ice and Snow World in the afternoon. Unlike Sun Island, this enormous winter theme park features ice sculptures inspired by iconic Chinese and global landmarks, such as the Temple of Heaven and Burj Khalifa, as well as zodiac animals, mascots, and mythical creatures.

   As darkness falls, colorful lights illuminate the ice buildings, transforming the park into a dazzling ice world with snow-covered grounds. If time permits, you can also experience Super Ice Slide, Snowflake Ferris Wheel and other snow activities.

   After exploring the park, return to your hotel to rest.

   

   Warm Tips:

   1. Today’s itinerary mainly involves outdoor activities and the temperature in Harbin is usually -10°C to -20°C. Dress warmly and bring essential items like warm patches, thermos cups and power banks.
   2. The Super Ice Slide and Snowflake Ferris Wheel at Harbin Ice and Snow World require separate online reservations after you enter the park. Due to extremely high demand, time slots are usually difficult to secure.

3. Day 3: Harbin City Highlights
   Explore Harbin’s History, European Architecture & Enjoy Songhua River Winter Fun

   Begin today’s city exploration at Harbin Museum. Unlike most museums, it consists of several historical buildings with diverse styles and each building has its own theme. You will see ancient coins, ceramics, clocks, European oil paintings, antique artifacts, and displays about the city’s history.

   Walk a few hundred meters to Saint Sophia Cathedral, one of the largest Orthodox churches in the Far East. Admire its green dome, red-brick walls, and Byzantine-inspired architecture. Built in the early 20^th century, the cathedral reflects the city’s Russian heritage.

   

   Continue on foot to the nearby Central Street. This historic pedestrian street is lined with century-old buildings in the Renaissance and Baroque styles, long-established brands.

   Take a leisurely walk along the cobblestone pavement to appreciate the distinctive architectural styles and browse stores. If interested, sample local treats, such as traditional Madieer ice cream popsicles, Russian-style bread, or other regional snacks.

   Walk to the end of the street and pass through the underground passage. The Flood Control Monument comes into view, which is built to commemorate the locals' efforts in protecting Harbin from the devastating 1957 flood.

   The Songhua River just behind the monument is a playground for the Songhua River Ice and Snow Carnival. You may experience a wide variety of entertainment programs, like ice slides, ice cycling and sledding.

   Your guide and driver will take you back to the hotel after the visits.

4. Day 4: Harbin Contrasting Cityscape
   Discover Russian Elegance and Explore Old Harbin’s Historic Streets

   Drive to Volga Manor, a Russian-style park on the outskirts of Harbin. Take your time wandering through the manor, admire ornate Russian buildings, colorful domes, and European-style bridges. The highlights include the replica of St. Nicholas Church and Pavlov Castle.

   In winter, the buildings are covered by snow, making them picturesque settings for photos. Along the way, the guide will introduce how Russian culture and architecture influence Harbin’s development.

   

   Return to the Laodaowai Chinese Baroque Historic District in the city center. The buildings here blend Western facades with traditional Chinese layouts — elaborate Baroque carvings adorn the exterior, while behind the street front lies a classic Chinese quadrangle courtyard.

   Stroll along the street to photograph the mottled red brick walls, the wooden windows and the signs of time-honored brands. Also, you can try some local specialties, like pork rib buns, roast chicken, spiced pork shoulder and traditional pastries.

   

   You will be transferred to catch your departure flight or train. If you still have time and want to extend your trip to China Snow Town or Yabuli Ski Resort, we are pleased to arrange that for you. Just let your travel consultant know in advance.
