You will be guided through some of the imperial sites in Beijing (the capital of China), such as the magnificent Forbidden City, the majestic Temple of Heaven, the beautiful Summer Palace, and the traditional Hutongs. You will also climb the spectacular Great Wall of Mutianyu section to capture the breathtaking scenery.

Then, take a comfortable bullet train to Harbin, where you can see the world’s largest and most intricately crafted snow sculptures, a brilliantly illuminated ice lantern show, and experience many snow and ice activities. You will also get a glimpse of Harbin’s history and culture with an informative local guide, from St. Sophia’s Cathedral, to Central Street and Laodaowai.

  1. Welcome to our 6-day Beijing Harbin tour! Upon your arrival in Beijing, the capital of China, your exclusive guide and driver will be waiting for you at the exit of the Arrival Hall with a welcome sign. You will then be escorted to your pre-booked hotel.

    The rest of the day is left for you to explore this city on your own. Feel free to ask your knowledgeable guide for practical advice and recommendations, who can provide insights into dining options, local attractions, and cultural experiences.

  2. After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up for a visit to Tiananmen Square, located in the center of Beijing. The square covers an area of 440,000 square meters and can accommodate 1 million people for a grand gathering at the same time. You will see the National Flag Pole, the Monument to the People's Heroes, Chairman Mao's Memorial Hall, and the Zhengyangmen Gate along the central axis from north to south.

    After that, continue walking a short distance north to the Forbidden City, the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties and the symbol and icon of ancient China. Today you will have a guided tour to admire the large-scale precious architecture and millions of valuable artifacts.

    After lunch, you will experience a rickshaw ride through the traditional hutongs. You'll have the opportunity to visit a local family and learn about their daily life and even take part in cultural activities such as learning calligraphy and weaving Chinese knots (extra charge).

    Later in the day, you will enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the Summer Palace, one of China's four famous gardens (the other three being the Chengde Mountain Resort, Suzhou's Humble Administrator's Garden, and the Lingering Garden). Once an imperial garden during the Qing Dynasty, it has now become a popular attraction for tourists to appreciate the beauty of Chinese classical gardens. The Seventeen-Arch Bridge in the garden is a highlight with its unique design, making it a great spot for photography.

  3. Before heading to the Great Wall, your Beijing tour will take you to visit the Temple of Heaven, a special altar used by the Ming and Qing emperors to offer sacrifices to the heavens, ask for rain, and pray for a good year. It consists of two parts: the Inner Altar and the Outer Altar. We will mainly visit the Inner Altar today, including the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest and the Echo Wall.

    After that, you will be transferred to Mutianyu Great Wall. Connected to the Juyongguan Great Wall in the west and Gubeikou in the east, it has been a military stronghold guarding Beijing since ancient times. With its dense enemy towers and charming scenery, it is the most beautiful section of the Great Wall. We will arrange for you to go up by cable car and then take a hike to enjoy the natural scenery.

    After descending from the Great Wall, drive back to Beijing, stopping to view the Bird's Nest (National Stadium) and the Water Cube from the outside. They are the famous buildings from the 2008 Olympic Games.

    Optional Evening Activities:

    In the evening, you can choose to enjoy the famous palace dish - the famous Peking Roast Duck at Quanjude Restaurant (additional charge).

  4. After breakfast, your driver will transfer you to the railway station to board the high-speed train to the Ice City - Harbin. The whole journey will last 5-5.5 hours. Upon arrival, your local guide and driver will give you a brief introduction of our upcoming Harbin tour and escort you to your hotel for rest. The rest of the day is free for you.

    We highly recommend visiting Zhaolin Park, where the fascinating Ice Lantern Show is held every year from January 5 to the end of February (free admission). Here you can not only admire the ice sculptures made by various artists and skilled craftsmen, but also enjoy skating and ice skating!

  5. Your guided Harbin tour package begins at Sun Island, where you will take part in the annual International Snow Sculpture Art Expo. Here you will see many large-scale snow sculptures of various shapes and sizes by Chinese and foreign artists. Afterwards, you will be transferred to the Siberian Tiger Park, a reserve dedicated to the breeding and protection of the Siberian Tiger. It aims to provide a suitable living environment for the endangered tiger.

    In the evening, savor a delicious dinner with a local guide's advice, enjoying local Harbin cuisine, influenced by Russian and Chinese culinary traditions. As night falls, we will take you to the Ice and Snow World to admire the ice sculptures illuminated by colorful lights. You can also experience a variety of ice activities here, from ice slides to Ferris wheels.

  6. Today is the last day of your China tour in Beijing and Harbin tour, which will begin at St. Sophia Cathedral. Built in 1907, it is one of the more well-preserved Byzantine-style buildings in China. The church has a large, full and massive onion-head dome, a typical Russian architectural roof form that rivals Moscow's St. Basil's Cathedral.

    Next, take a stroll along Central Street, a more than 100-year-old shopping street with classic European architecture and stores. During the Ice and Snow Festival, there are interesting ice and snow sculptures everywhere, and you can take photos with them.

    Afterwards, take a guided tour of Laodaowai, Harbin's historic old neighborhood with its baroque-style buildings built in the early 20th century. Jiuzhan Park is the last stop on this 6-day Beijing Harbin tour, a strip of open riverside parks across the river from the famous Sun Island Scenic Area. It is a playground for local elderly and children.
