Essential Visiting Tips
- Recommended Visit Time
It is possible to only spend half a day in the land. However, that means you won’t be able to try to experience all the attractions, especially if you’re visiting in a busy period, which needs extra waiting time for each attraction. But it’ll be enough for photographs and 2-3 popular rides and some other less-crowded rides. And it’s recommended to enter in the afternoon so that you can catch the night show that starts around 9:00 pm.
One day is suitable for most visitors. Even if you don’t make an early entrance, you’ll still have plenty of time to take the rides and watch the shows. Also, this time range allows you to enjoy the land at a more relaxed pace. Also, don’t miss the late firework show before leaving.
If you plan to spend two days here, except for trying all the attractions, consider staying in the hotels that are located in Disneyland. It can truly enhance your experience. These hotels have fast entry to the land, and many of their rooms are themed rooms.
- Download the official app
The official app not only has a ticket purchase page, but it also shows all the information you’ll need when exploring the land, such as a map, the estimated waiting time of certain rides, and instructions for events and shows.
- Food and Drinks
It’s recommended to bring your own food and drinks (instant noodles and foods need cold storage are NOT allowed). It can be quite expensive to have meals inside the park. There are many free water pickup spots in the park. You can bring an empty water cup in.
- Check Latest Information
Sometimes, attractions will close down. So you can first check if the attractions you want to visit are currently closed before purchasing tickets.

Where to Buy
The recommended platform is the official website and official app. Both of them provide an English interface, and they support payments made by main international credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, JCB, and Diners Club. So for foreign visitors, this can be the most convenient choice. And also, they are the safest and most guaranteed platforms.
Besides, you can buy tickets via third-party platforms, such as Meituan and Fliggy. They sometimes offer discounted tickets. But one thing that needs to be borne in mind is that they are usually not refundable. And if you choose this way, it is recommended to buy it only one or two days ahead of your Disneyland visit or even on the same day (don’t buy it too early).
