Crossing the Border by Land:
An option for Guangdong toĀ Macau transportationĀ is crossing the border by land. If you are traveling to Macau from Zhuhai, you can choose this way. Zhuhai has a total of 5 immigration control points for Macao, namely Gongbei Port, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge Zhuhai Port, Hengqin Port, Qingmao Port and Wangzai Port.
Gongbei Port: Clearance is from 06:00 to 01:00 the next day. There are a large number of express lanes and manual lanes, and the surrounding transportation is convenient, with numerous bus lines and cabs to choose from.
Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge Zhuhai Port: Clearance time is 08:00-22:00. Here you only need to queue once to complete the customs clearance procedures for both Zhuhai and Macau. At the same time, the traffic around the port is also more convenient, you can choose to take the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge shuttle bus and other means of transportation to go.

Get to Macau from Nearby Cities
Hong Kong to Macau
- By ferry: the most traditional and common way. Every day, dense ferries run between Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal to Outer Harbor and Taipai Ferry Terminals from 07:30 – 22:30. Only in about 1 hour, you will be transported to Macau. Its cost is HKD 175+.
- By bus: both Hong Kong Port to Macau Port shuttle bus and cross-border bus can transport passengers via HZMB. Since passengers need to get off the bus for custom clearance at both cities, a journey will require about 2 hours. The cost of a shuttle bus and a cross-border bus is HKD 65 – 70 and HKD 160+, respectively.
- By Helicopter:the most expensive and fastest way. It is only available for transit passengers at Hong Kong Airport.
Guangzhou to Macau
- By high-speed train: the most recommended. The train actually takes tourists to Zhuhai Train Station. Then the Gongbei Port or Qingmao Port can be reached by foot in 10 minutes directly, where you can clear customs and enter Macau.
- By bus: the most economical way. The price of the cross border bus is only CNY 26.8 and can escort you to the Gongbei Port directly. 8 shifts are provided each day. Passengers can board the bus at several metro stations in Guangzhou.
- By ferry:Several ferries depart from Guangzhou Nansha Ferry Terminal to Macau Taipai Ferry Terminal with a duration of 80 minutes and a cost of CNY 220+.
Zhuhai to Macau
- By walking: Zhuhai and Macau are connected by land, so crossing the border on foot through the port is definitely the mainstream choice. There are four main ports for you to choose, Gongbei Port, Qingmao Port, Hengqin Port and HZMB Port.

- Macao Light Rapid Transit Taipa Line: The Taipa Line is 12.5 kilometers long, with 11 stations. The line starts at A-Ma-Go Station, passes through various tourist attractions and ports, and ends at Taipa Ferry Terminal Station. Travel time is about 25 minutes. You can buy tickets at the Ticket Vending Machine (MOP) or at the manual window (cash, WeChat, Alipay).
- Macao Light Rapid Transit Seac Pai Van Line: On November 1, 2024, the Seac Pai Van Line was first opened. The total length of the line is 1.6 kilometers, with Seac Pai Van Station and Union HospitalStation, where passengers can transfer to the LRT Taipa Line.
- Macao Light Rapid Transit Hengqin Line: this line also has only 2 stations: Lotus Station and Hengqing Station. Lotus Station is also the transfer station to Taipa Line. It was constructed to connect Macao and the Hengqin Port in Zhuhai through the under river tunnel. Its total length is 2.2 km and a single trip takes about 2 minutes.
