One Day Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Lunch

Good morning! Your driver and tour guide will pick you up at the entrance of your hotel around 7 to 8 o’clock. The specific time will be confirmed with you by the guide the night before departure. After meeting, we will drive for about 2 hours to reach the Mutianyu Great Wall. On the way, the guide roughly introduces our itinerary and precautions for today. Please listen carefully.

Mutianyu Great Wall, located in Huairou District, Beijing, with a total length of 5400 meters, is the longest Great Wall in China and one of the Famous Sixteen Scenic Spots in Beijing. This section is the essence of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall. You can see the most beautiful scenery. Mutianyu is relatively well preserved and has been a military stronghold guarding the capital city since ancient times.

Perhaps you have heard of the Badaling Great Wall, which is more famous in China. But the number of tourists in Mutianyu is only one-third of that in Badaling, and the forest coverage rate is even higher, reaching over 90%. Especially in autumn, the red leaves stretch to the top of the mountain, forming a unique landscape of “Red Leaves Reflecting the Great Wall”. The enemy buildings in Mutianyu are densely packed, with as many as 23 towers, some of which have very unique structures and are rare among all the Great Wall of China. This place also has first-class cable car, chairlift and toboggan in China, so it is convenient for tourists to climb the Mutianyu Great Wall.

After arriving at the scenic area, if you prefer to hike, the tour guide will take you to climb from near the north or south gate, which takes about 40 minutes to reach the wall. After arriving, walk west to the No.23 Tower to enjoy the panoramic view, or take the small path east to the No.1 Tower to admire symbolic attractions such as Zhengguantai Terrace and Big Corner Tower.

If you have limited physical strength or are carrying very young children (such as under 2 years old), you can choose to take the cable car (at your own expense, on-site payment). Do you and your kids want more fun activities? You can take a toboggan down from the No.6 Tower.

Note: For safety reasons, it is not recommended for people over 60 years old and children under 3 years old to ride the toboggan.
