One Day Xitang Water Town Tour from Hangzhou

Driving around 1.5 hours, you will arrive at the amazing Xitang Water Town. Xitang is a typical “Jiangnan Water Town” (water town in southern Yangtze River), located at Jiaxing City of Zhejiang Province, right on the juncture of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. Xitang Water Town is one of the birthplaces of Wuyu Culture, feeding it with the shuttling fish boats, soft water and melodious tunes of the local folk songs.

To visit Xitang Water Town, there is no need to brace yourself up, hop on and off the tourist coach to head to next stop when you just step out the date of this site. No strict timing for the list sites to visit like the most touristy days you’ve spent, you will only stroll on the lanes paved by stones, lean on the gunwale of the wobbling boat, say “hello” to the locals sitting at the corridors, stand on the bridges and make yourself fully immersed into the flavor of this wander land. Luckily, Xitang Water Town has not been badly invaded by the noisy modern business like what you’ve experienced in other old towns, you still have opportunity to be close to local residences growing up in Wuyue culture but not those shop owners moved from other cities.
