The journey usually takes around 40ā60 minutes. On arrival, your local guide and driver will meet you at the station and take you to the dayās first stop.
From Wuxi Railway Station, drive about an hour to Lingshan Mountain Scenic Area. Start with the Lingshan Grand Buddha, one of the areaās most recognizable landmarks. As you approach, the 88-meter-tall bronze statue of Sakyamuni towers above the surrounding landscape.
Walk along the main axis toward the Grand Buddha, then climb the steps to the base of the statue for a close-up view of its scale and bronze details.
Next, stop at the "No. 1 Palm in the World," a large bronze replica of the Grand Buddha's right hand. Many visitors touch or pray before the palm as a symbolic gesture for blessings and good fortune.
Continue to the Lingshan Brahma Palace, known for its richly decorated interiors, large-scale Buddhist artworks, wood carvings, and elaborate ceilings. Walk through the main halls and see how Buddhist motifs are combined with modern architecture.
After exploring Lingshan, drive about 45ā60 minutes to Yuantouzhu Scenic AreaĀ on the shore of Taihu Lake. Walk through the lakeside gardens and viewpoints of Yuantouzhu, one of Wuxiās best-known places for panoramic views across Taihu Lake.
Weather permitting, take a sightseeing boatĀ to Taihu Fairy Island. The boat gives you broader views across Taihu Lake before you land on Taihu Fairy Island for a short walk.
Travel Tip:Ā If boat services are suspended because of weather, water conditions, or scenic-area operations, your sightseeing program will be adjusted accordingly.
If you visit from March to early April, you will also have the chance to see the famous cherry blossomĀ landscape at Yuantouzhu.
After the tour, you will be driven to a Wuxi downtown hotel for check-in.
- Day 2: Wuxi Discovery & DepartureExplore a Classical Jiangnan Garden and Historic Ancient Town
Today drive to Huishan Ancient Town Scenic Area, where you'll begin with Jichang Garden, one of Wuxi's finest examples of a classical Jiangnan garden. Walk among rockeries, ponds, pavilions, and old trees, and notice how the layout creates a series of changing views as you move through the garden.
Along the way, your guide will share the story of how Jichang Garden Jichang Garden later influenced imperial garden design in Beijing. Emperor Qianlong visited the garden repeatedly during his southern tours and admired it so much that its design later inspired a garden in Beijing's Summer Palace, today known as Xiequ Garden.
From Jichang Garden, continue to Huishan Ancient Town. Take your time walking through its historic lanes, where traditional residences, shops, ancestral halls, andĀ temples still line the way.
Huishan Ancient Town is especially known for more than 100 ancestral halls and related historic compounds, built by different clans over several centuries.
