One-Day Xian Exploration Tour with Great Mosque

1. Day 1: Xian Exploration Tour

   After your breakfast and then your tour begins with a downtown hotel pick-up. In one hour, arrive at the eighth wonder of the world - Terracotta Warriors and Horses. To your surprise, this grand underground army was discovered by local farmers. Entering this museum, get amazed by the life sized clay warriors with an average height of 1.8 m while listen to your tour guide’s vivid explorations.

   Learn about why it was built and how were thses soldiers carefully crafted two thousand years ago. If you visit carefully, you can find that each warrior has a unique facial expression.

   After that around 1:00 pm, have a delicious Shaanxi lunch at a nearby restaurant.

   

   Go back to the urban area and walk up the striking City Wall. This is the largest and best preserved ancient city wall in China. Glimpse its construction history while admiring the watchtowers. You can also choose to ride a bike on the top of the wall (an additional fee) for more fun.

   Continue your tour to the heart of Xian where the Bell Tower stands as symbols of this city. Take some photos here. Next, move to visit the Great Mosque, a major place for religious activities among the Muslims in Xian, boasting a blend of Chinese and Islamic architectural styles.

   

   Last, walk out the mosque to the nearby Muslim Quarter, the most famous food street in Xian. Immerse in the lively atmosphere and sample a variety of local snacks (at your own expense). From savory lamb skewers to sweet treats, the street offers amazing culinary experience for every palate.

   After that, your guide will transfer you back to your downtown hotel.
