- Day 1: Old Xian City Day Tour
After breakfast, meet your private tour guide in your hotel lobby at the agreed time. The first stop of todayās Xian tour is the Ancient City Wall. This is an architectural marvel with a history of over 600 years, not only the largest in China, but also the most well preserved ancient military system. From the city wall, enjoy the panoramic view of Xiāan. Cycling is an optional activity that the vast majority of our customers choose.
Next, take a guided tour of Xiāan MuseumĀ (closed on Tuesdays), a treasure trove of artifacts that tell the story of Xiāanās illustrious past. Learn about thousand-year history of founding the capital and the development of Xian. Also, admire a large collections from all eras of Xian.
In the same scenic area, also see Small Wild Goose Pagoda, the sister of Xian city landmark, Big Wild Goose Pagoda. After that, eat lunch at your own expense (feel free to ask your guide for suggestions)
Bike Riding on the Xian City Wall In the afternoon, move to visit the older sister - Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Boasting 7 floors and a height of 64.517 m, the tower was built to store Buddha statues and Buddhist scriptures brought back from India by Xuanzang who was a famous Buddhist translator.
Afterward, take a leisurely walkĀ through the Muslim Quarter. Xian local Hui people gather here forĀ centuries. The area isĀ filled with a strong Muslim atmosphere. Enjoy various Xian snacks and some most recommended ones are Marinated Beef Meat in Baked Bun, Liangpi, Biang Biang Noodles, Soup Dumplings and Cake Caldron (at your own expense).
After a full day of tour in Xian, your guide and driver will sendĀ you back to your hotel.
