- Day 1: Clay Warriors Exploration
Your professional tour guide will pick you up directly from your hotel in the city center. In about 40 minutes, arrive at Hanyangling Museum. This is a joint burial mausoleum where Emperor Jing of Han, Liu Qi, and his empress reside.
Similar to the more famous Terracotta Warriors, many pottery figurines have also been unearthed in the Hanyang Mausoleum. But the difference is that the warriors here are only one-third the size of real people, about 60 centimeters tall, naked and without arms.
According to research, these terracotta figurines were dressed in various beautiful costumes when they were just completed. Their arms were made of wood and inserted into the circular holes on their shoulders, allowing them to rotate flexibly. After a thousand years, clothes and wooden arms have decayed.
When visiting, you will find that there are some ladies in the military, most of whom have beautiful faces. Compared with the solemn and vigorous Terra Cotta Warriors of the First Emperor of Qin, the warriors of Hanyangling appear peaceful and calm, which reflects the peaceful social atmosphere at that time.

In the afternoon, continue driving to the world-renowned Terracotta Warriors and HorsesĀ to marvel at the mighty army formed by life size warriors, with an average height of 1.8 m. During 2-2.5 hours visit, you explore 3 pits and the No. 1 is the largest and earliest discovered where 6000 pottery figurines and horses are buried. Number 2 is a mixed formation of infantry, cavalry and chariots while No. 3 is the command center for the whole underground army.
