At the appointed time in the morning, our English-speaking guide and Chinese driver will pick you up from the hotel in the center of Xi’an and drive for one hour to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses. Before visiting the museum, first visit a Terracotta Figures Factory, where you will learn how the Terracotta Warriors are made. And you will learn to make your own mini clay warrior as a souvenir.
Then, go to the Terracotta Warriors Museum. Known as the “eighth wonder of the world”, the Terracotta Army is a must-see attraction in Xi’an, especially for history lovers. You will spend 2.5 hours exploring 3 pits at this World Heritage site. Marvel at life-sized warriors (each with a different expression), horses, and chariots. The tour guide will explain some facts about these terracotta warriors and their owner – the first emperor of China – Qin Shi Huang.
After the group tour in the morning, enjoy a delicious meal at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, drive back to Xian City to explore the City Wall, an imposing structure with the title of the largest and best-preserved city wall in China. It was constructed during the Ming Dynasty for military defense. Climb to the wall for a unique city perspective. You can optionally ride a bike (for an extra fee).
