- Day 1: Xian Landmarks & Night Views
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, the private guide will pick you up at the lobby. Today’s tour in Xian starts with a 1-hour drive to a World Heritage, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses. Known as one of the world’s top 10 ancient tombs, it has been visited by over 200 foreign heads of state and government.
Explore the museum for 2-2.5 hours and see thousands of life-sized clay soldiers and horses. You will definitely be attracted by the details of their expressions, clothing and weapons. Your knowledgeable guide share with you the story of its construction and the historical deeds of the owner of the Terracotta Army - Qin Shi Huang.
Next there is a chance to make a mini clay warrior (optional and at your own expense) under the guidance of a skilled craftsman. If you want, your guide will take you to a factory to learn about the production process of the Terracotta Warriors and make a small one by yourself.
Learn to Make a Mini Terracotta Warrior After lunch in Lintong district, drive back to city downtown area to visit Dacien Temple. Here the most striking building is the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, 7 floors and 64.5 meters high. Why was this tower built? What was it used for? Big Wild Goose Pagoda Leave the scenic area and continue walking for only 5 minutes to the Tang Dynasty Ever-Bright City. The most famous one on the North Square is the largest matrix music fountain in Asia with a water column that can reach up to 60 meters.
Tang Dynasty Ever-Bright City is actually a pedestrian street, about 2 kilometers long lined with Tang style ancient buildings. People wearing Tang Dynasty costumes make you as if traveling back to the prosperous Tang Dynasty.
This itinerary ends around 5:30 pm. If you want to stay and enjoy the night view, please return to the hotel by yourself after the tour ends. After nightfall, the lights here shine brightly, making it one of the best destinations for a glimpse of Xi'an's nightlife.
