1. Day 1: Kunming Arrival
   Explore West Hill with Panoramic Views over Dianchi Lake

   Welcome to our 3-day Muslim tour in Kunming. After you arrive at Kunming Changshui International Airport - ZPP (it is recommended that you arrive before 11:30 am), the tour guide will pick you up and take you to the hotel first to check in. Have a short rest and enjoy lunch (the tour guide will recommend a restaurant based on your preferences).

   In the afternoon, you will be guided to the West Hill tour, which is sometimes called Reclining Buddha Mountain. The way it appears from afar gives it the names of huge sleeping Buddha or beautiful girl lying on her back beside the Dianchi Lake; thus, it is sometimes referred to as the mountain of "Sleeping Beauty".

   

   West Hill is situated on the western side of Dianchi Lake. It measures 35 kilometers long and 3-4 kilometers wide from east to west with a height of 2200 meters. The most visited area of the mountain is called Longmen, Dragon Gate. Nearly 500 years of history is the time that this area which consists of steep cliffs was excavated by man. At this point, one can see artifacts, caves, pavilions, and many other things, while at the same time the entire Dianchi Lake can be viewed. Besides that, there are many Taoist temples situated on Western Hill for the visitors' access.

   After your tour is over, you will be sent back to the hotel to relax your feet.

2. Day 2: Kunming Highlights
   Discover Stone Forest Karst, Historic Mosques, Local Flower & Bird Market

   After breakfast, a 1.5-hour drive will take you to Shilin County, where the most famous attraction is the Stone Forest. The karst landform here covers an area of over 1100 square kilometers and has undergone geological evolution for millions of years. Today we mainly visit two areas: Greater Stone Forest and Lesser Stone Forest areas.

   The Greater one has very dense sword shaped peaks, most of which are greenish gray. The highest rock pillar among them exceeds 40 meters in height! Your tour guide will take you to visit some iconic attractions such as the Stone Forest Scenic Area 石林胜景, which consists of the Peak Viewing Pavilion, cliff carvings and lawns. Under the Peak Viewing Pavilion, there is an open and flat area surrounded by stone peaks, with lush green grass.

   

   The Small Stone Forest lies northeast of the Greater Stone Forest, where the most striking feature is the goddess Sani Ashima Stone. The stone peaks here are even more elegant. Ashima is an independent stone peak by the pool, looking like a graceful and graceful young girl when viewed from the side. At the rear entrance there is a 3-meter-tall stone peak resembling the image of Monk Xuanzang from Journey to the West.

   Please note: Wear comfortable and non slip shoes; Be sure to take sun protection measures during summer visits.

   In the afternoon, return to the city center to visit the Nancheng Mosque, one of the most important religious sites for Kunming Muslims originally built during the Ming Dynasty. The mosque preserves various scripts and carved Islamic scriptures. The main building blends Chinese and Islamic styles, and the layout of mosque is divided into a worship area and a living area. The central hall can accommodate hundreds of people praying at the same time and features exquisite decorations. Nearby, explore the Muslim community and perhaps sample some local halal snacks.

   

   The final stop of the day is the Flower and Bird Market. Inside, the flower section bursts with vibrant colors as roses and lilies vie for attention, filling the air with their fragrance. In the aquarium area, fish glide gracefully while birdsong rings out crisp. Strolling through the market, you can admire the intricate artistry of bonsai and feel the leisurely pace of life of Kunming people.

3. Day 3: Departure from Kunming
   Visit Kunming Landmark Archway and Ancient Mosque

   After breakfast, head to the famous Kunming landmark of the Golden Horse and Jade Phoenix Archway. A legend tells that in ancient times, the divine horse who appeared to be made of pure gold would frequently appear on the eastern shores of Kunming. The horse emitted a brilliant gold light upon emergence. While on the Western Mountains, an enchanting jade phoenix resided there. Thus, the name spread throughout Kunming, becoming a unique symbol of the city. The attraction is actually a bustling street lined with local snack stalls, becoming quite lively every evening.

   

   Next, you will visit Yongning Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in Yunnan Province. Blending Arab architectural styles, the existing main structure comprises four floors. The second floor houses a halal dining area, while religious activities are centered on the third-floor prayer hall, which can accommodate 500 worshippers. The fourth floor serves as a guesthouse. The entire building features glazed tiles and colorful beams, with a dome design, looking quite grand and exquisite.
