1. Day 1: Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Adventure
   Take a cable car to glaciers, admire turquoise lakes, and explore ancient culture.

   Your guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel and take you to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Scenic Area, home to the southernmost glacier in the Northern Hemisphere.

   On this trip, take a Cable Car to the top of Glacier Park. (Note: You can also opt for the Yak Meadow or Spruce Meadow cableways. The main cableway (Glacier Park) is the highest, offering close-up views of the glacier, and is the only option for reaching the summit, but tickets are the hardest to get; Choose the main cableway if you want to challenge yourself, the middle one if you love photography, or the small cableway if you prefer a more relaxed experience.) The roughly 15-minute ride on the main cable car itself is a visual feast.

   

   As the altitude rises, the scenery below transitions from lush coniferous forests to exposed rock faces, eventually entering a white snowy world, allowing you to experience the magical change of “four seasons in a day” in a short time.

   After getting off the Glacier Park Cable Car, hike along the boardwalk for about 1,680 steps to reach the monument at an altitude of 4,680 metres. Feel the pressure of the snowy mountains up close. Challenge your personal limits and get a strong sense of achievement when standing on the viewing platform.

   Go down the mountain and stop at Blue Moon Valley to enjoy its dreamy scenery, with its waters being the main highlight. The lake boasts an almost magical turquoise hue, as clear as jade or sapphire. This rare color is seldom seen in China's natural landscapes. On clear days, the vibrant saturation makes for stunning, filter-free photos.

   

   After leaving the scenic area, you will head to Baisha Ancient Town to experience the authentic daily life of the local Naxi people, far from the over-commercialized crowds. Facing Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the town offers a wide vista. You can Relax in a café or tea house to fully take in the breathtaking mountain views—a rare perspective hard to find in other ancient towns.

   Besides, enjoy the thousand-year-old Baisha murals, which cleverly blend elements of Tibetan Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism. Recently, an immersive digital exhibition has been launched, allowing you to clearly see every texture and brushstroke of the murals through 3D scanning, AI restoration and multi-screen interaction.

   

   Your one-day tour of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain concludes here, and then you will be transferred back to your hotel in Lijiang!

   Warm Tips:

   • The temperature at the top of the mountain is extremely low even in summer, so make sure to prepare warm clothes in advance and wear a hat and gloves.
   • It's recommended to bring an oxygen bottle, move slowly, and avoid strenuous exercise and loud shouting.

   Notes: Tickets for the Glacier Park cable car can be hard to get during high season, so please indicate your preferences or book in advance. During peak season, you might have to queue for 1-2 hours.
