Start off with a nice bus ride from downtown to the Mount Huangshan area. You can hop on a cable car if you don’t want to hike as much. Then, walk to remarkable places like White Goose Ridge, Beginning-to-Believe Peak, and the old Black Tiger Pine. Sleep on the mountain, so you can see an awesome sunset and sunrise. The next day, go on to discover Lion PeakĀ and see the striking Monkey Watching the Sea rock. - Day 1: Huangshan Mountain Hiking TourAdmire the Uniquely Shaped Pine Trees and Sunset View
The tour guide will pick you up at the hotel lobby in the city center at the agreed time. Drive about 1 hour to Mount Huangshan Scenic Area.Ā Known as the "fairyland on earth" and "the most wonderful mountain in the world", Yellow MountainĀ is famous for its "five wonders" of strange pines, grotesque rocks, sea of clouds, hot springs and winter snow.
After arriving at the scenic area, transfer to shuttle bus and head to Yungu Station. You can choose to take the cable car up the mountain at your own expense (not mandatory, but highly recommended to save energy).Ā After getting off the cable car, your Mount Huangshan hike starts. Pass through the White Goose Ridge along the way, admiring Beginning to Believe Peak & Black Tiger Pine, and appreciating various shapes of pine trees and stones.
Black Tiger Pine is one of the top ten famous pines in Huangshan Mountain, with a height of 15 meters and a tree age of about 700 years. It is named after the legend of a monk witnessing a āblack tigerāĀ lying on top of a pine tree - its branches are thick and sturdy, its crown is dark green and almost black, and its shape resembles that of a black tiger.
Yellow Mountain Hike Your lunch will be enjoyed on the mountaintop (at your own expense). After lunch, continue hiking to Cloud-dispellingĀ PavilionĀ to catchĀ the sunset and admire the Flying-over Rock. If you have good physical strength, you can hike to the West Sea Grand CanyonĀ to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Tonight we will spend the night on Huangshan Mountain (you need toĀ book the hotel in advanceĀ on your own).
- Day 2: Huangshan DepartureWitness the Sunrise and See Grotesque Rocks
If the weather is fine, get up early to enjoy the magnificent sunrise of Huangshan Mountain. Afterward, return to the hotel for breakfast. Continue your Yellow Mountain tourĀ to Lion PeakĀ to enjoy the famous Monkey Watching the Sea. As its name suggests, there is a stoneĀ here, like a monkey squatting and observing the ups and downs of the sea of clouds.
Around 11:30 am, we start descending the mountain. You can hike down the mountain or take a cable car at your own expense. After the one-day Huangshan group tour, you will be transferred back to the hotel in the city center.
