Located in the eastern part of Qinghai Province, Xining is the only place to pass through the south road of ancient “Silk Road” and the “Tangbo Road”. Since ancient times, it has been an important traffic route and military center in the northwest. It is one of the high-altitude cities in the world. Xining is a popular travel destination in Gansu, China, featuring superb plateau landscape and ethnic culture. The 5 days tour includes visit to Ta’er Monastery, Qinghai Lake, and Serdzong Monastery. Spending the first two days to explore Xining city and in the other days you will drive to enjoy the untroubled country area of Qinghai Province.

AM:After hotel breakfast we will visit Ta’er Monastery, one of the most notable sites in downtown Xining. Here you will also have the first glimpse of Tibetan taste.
Noon: Lunch on your own.
PM: Then we will drive for about 2.5 hours to arrive at Qinghai Lake which is famous as paradise of birds. Tourists could either take a walk around the lake or optionally take a cruise ship to visit the lake. Afterwards pay a visit to the most attractive part of the lake – Bird Island on the west part of the lake.

In the morning board the car and drive to visit Serdzong Monastery. The monastery locates at remote mountain area that has an altitude of 3600 meters. Today you will spend most of the time in the car and please enjoy the scenery on the way.
