Itinerary 3 days Beijing-Xian-Chengdu Private Tour by Bullet Train

We booked 3 tours and our bullet train tickets with China Xian tours. We worked with Grace in the office before we arrive in China. She was fantastic answering our questions and getting back to us in a timely manor and making recommendations to us. She also made sure our train tickets were delivered to our first hotel in Beijing and checked in with us after every tour. We went with all private tours and are very glad we did. Private is the way to go in china. We specifically could spend as much or as little time and make changes to our itinerary based on our desires and even based on weather.

1st tour in Beijing was to the summer palace, great wall of china and included lunch. Our tour guide Zelda showed up on time and she taught us the history of the wall on our ride there. She also made sure we knew where to go to get to top of the wall and where to meet her after. We also spent time at The Summer Palace and learned about the Empress who built it. We were taken to have lunch in a local restaurant and she showed us what we should order !
Thank you for writing and drawing pictures in my book Zelda.

Our second tour was in Xian to the Terracotta warriors and the big wild goose pagoda. It also included lunch. Our tour guide was nancy who has vast knowledge on what is happening at the terracotta warriors. What an incredible sight to see. Nancy also took us to the big wild goose pagoda and a local restaurant where we had dishes we didn’t eat anywhere else. it was raining when we left so we did not go to shuyamen street but nancy made sure to show us where it was and how to get there on our own from the hotel. Nancy taught us a tremendous amount of history and we appreciated that. Thank you Nancy for writing in my book

Our third private tour was in Chengdu and included all panda and then the Chengdu opera at night. Our tour guide was colin. Colin took us to the panda center in Chengdu first. It was very crowded. Colin walked with us not in front of us. We never had to try to keep up with her. when we worked our way into a crowd to get a closer view of a panda she always knew where we were and would wave to us when we turned to get out of the crowd. That was really important. We never had to worry about losing Colin because she never lost sight of us.
Next we bought post cards and stamps at the Panda Post. Colin glued on all the stamps and as we finished writing out the cards she stamped each with a big red panda. That was a fun project we all did together. Next we had lunch and drove to the panda center farther out of Chengdu. Colin had told us that this panda center would not be as crowded and she was right. Colin told us all about the pandas and we were able to spend more time watching each panda eating and climbing. later we went to the face changing opera show. We booked vip seats and the show was amazing. Im glad we did those up closer seats. Colin took me to the area where the actors and dancers put on makeup and get dressed in their beautiful costumes before the show started.
We had a fun day with Colin and the pandas. She took very good care of us.
Thank you for writing in my book Colin!
