5:10 - 6:40 pm
The first dining experience takes you to an authentic restaurant where you will try Chongqing Jianghu cuisine (ę±ę¹č), known for its strong numbing, spicy, fresh and aromatic taste. The river-port city of Chongqing developed as a docking area for merchants and dock workers who depended on highly spiced food to remove dampness from their bodies while restoring their lost energy.
The intense flavor of Chongqing Jianghu dishes is shaped by these cultural practices. Popular specialties include Laifeng Fish, Spicy Diced ChickenĀ and MaoxuewangĀ (Boiled Blood and Tofu with Spicy Broth), though dishes can be adjusted to suit your spice tolerance.

After dinner, go to Kuixing Tower, a striking landmark that shows Chongqingās dramatic vertical cityscape. Please wear non-slip shoes as the glass corridor can be slippery in rainy weather.
7:20 - 8:10 pm
The next stop is the Hongya Cave, an impressive stilted structure that becomes illuminated by artificial lights after sunset. At the 4th-floor Folk Food Street, you can taste local food items that include handmade hot-and-sour noodles, cold rice cakes and spicy wontons that other tourists highly recommend.

Continue to Jiefangbei Square, the cityās commercial center and admire the Qiansimen Bridge nearby. The Observation Deck provides youĀ with an opportunity to see Hongya Cave and the bridge that shines over the river at night.
