Welcome to Chongqing! Your friendly guide and driver will meet you at your downtown Chongqing hotel, with arrangements confirmed the night before the tour. Youāll head to Wulong Karst National ParkĀ by private car for a scenic 2.5-hour drive. A UNESCO World Heritage Site in southeastern Chongqing, itās famed for striking karst landforms, with two core spots for this one-day tour ā Three Natural BridgesĀ (Tiansheng Sanqiao) and Fairy Mountain (Xiannv Mountain), featuring sinkholes, gorges, cliffs, pine forests, and alpine meadows.
Wulong Karst National Geological Park Upon arrival, be led to Three Natural Bridges by shuttle bus first, then take an elevator down to the valley floor. Walking through the valley, you will see magnificent natureās rock arches of Tianlong, Qinglong, and Heilong BridgesĀ āĀ surrounded by steep mountains,Ā waterfalls and woods, including the movie set used to film Transformers: Age of Extinction. Observation decks are along the trail, and most visitors spend about two hours here walking and taking photos.
Later in the day, youāll go to Fairy MountainĀ ā named for a fairy-shaped stone peak, with 65% forest coverage and distinct four seasons, a perfect urban escape for relaxation. Hike 1-1.5 hours on wooden trails past streams, with cool summer breezes and countless scenic photo spots along the way.
Travel Tip:Ā Paid activities at Fairy Mountain include horse riding and paragliding; winter also offers snowmobiling and skiing.
