My Travel Highlights
During my trip to Yunnan Province in 2021, I was deeply touched by the hospitable local people and diverse ethnic cultures. Lijiang, Dali and Shangri-La each offered a completely different experience. Upon checking into a homestay in Lijiang, the host kindly invited us to savor the famous Yunnan Black Tea, shared the attractions and local restaurants with us and even helped us plan our itinerary.
The most unforgettable moment of our Lijiang tour was witnessing the breathtaking sunrise at Lugu Lake. The golden sunlight cast on the mountains and glimmered on water’s surface, while a fisherman rowed a boat in the center of the lake. At that serene moment, I truly understood why Lugu Lake is listed as a must-visit destination by the Chinese National Geography magazine.
In Dali, we tasted the traditional Three-Course Tea of the Bai ethnic minority and appreciated the vibrant song and dance performances by locals dressed in traditional attire. Our Shangri-La tour was full of joy. We visited a Tibetan family and joined their bonfire party, dancing around the campfire under the starlit sky. Throughout the trip, I felt all your worries fade away.
