āHi there, Iām Cathy Zhao, a content specialist of China Xian Tour! I have dedicated myself to the tourism industry for nearly 10 years. For me, itās a long and rewarding career path! Whenever you ask me what the main drive is, I can say itās a matter of love. Iām eager to introduce fun spots to worldwide travelers through our website. If itās useful to you, I will feel deeply honored!ā
My Story
I graduated from Xiāan International Studies University with a bachelorās degree in art. At first, I worked as an English-Chinese translator. After two years, I began to consider my future career direction and finally decided to shift to the tourism industry, because it matched my major, Tourism English. Fortunately, I joined China Xian Tour as a website editor.
To be honest, editing can sometimes be very boring, but I do like this job. I firmly believe that a good travel article is not merely a description of scenery, but more a guide to answer travelersā questions. In this way, we can help to ease their nerves before setting out to an unknown place. This is exactly the core value of our work!
I often consider myself a detail-oriented person, good at planning. Every time before I go out for a trip, I will browse vlogs and travel websites, especially the user comments, to make a comprehensive plan. Therefore, I clearly know what my readers are most interested in. Based on this, I organize information such as routes, transportation, and cuisine into readable and useful articles. The identity as a tourism editor enables me to help others and brings me a sense of achievement.
My Travel Highlights
I love travelling to different places to encounter different people and experience various activities. My wish is to set foot on every corner of China and even the world. Up till now, the most impressive trip I have ever made is my honeymoon trip.
My husband and I selected Yunnan as a romantic destination. We subsequently went to Lijiang and Dali, during the seven-day trip. I remember we rode a horse led by a shepherd to circle around Yuhu Village. In the rosy evening glow, we passed by wild grassland and elegant stone houses. It seemed time went very slowly on horseback. It gave me a moment to think about life, without the disturbance of social affairs.
At night, Lijiang appeared more beautiful. The streets were decorated by colorful glittering lights. Every restaurant was full of adventurous foodies. At a tidy restaurant, we ordered the preserved rib hot pot. It was chewy and savory. I can feel my mouth watering even now when I think about it.
This is an unforgettable trip of mine. What about yours?
