My Story
Travel is my greatest passion, and I feel so fortunate to have turned it into my career. I first caught the travel bug in my eighteenth year when I planned a graduation trip to explore Pingyao Ancient Town with friends. During my college years, I explored many corners of China with my roommates. Even after graduation, we work in different cities, it is still our tradition to choose a destination each year to reunite and travel together.
Later, after I had a baby, I continued traveling to more kid-friendly places in China with my little one. With my parents entering retirement, theyāve become regular companions on our family trip around the country.
Thanks to these travel experiences, I got a better understanding of travelers at different ages and with different needs. Key takeaways from these experiences include how to maximize the excitement of an adventure with friends, and what is essential to ensure the comfort and fun of a family trip.
These firsthand experiences shape the articles I write. They inspire me to turn more focus on turning travel inspiration into clear, practical itineraries. My goal is to help different travelers, whether they are traveling to China solo, with friends, or with family, to embark on a journey with ease.
My Travel Highlights
My recent family trip took me on a scenic Yangtze River cruise from Chongqing to Yichang. We traveled during the school summer break, a peak travel season in China. And the cruise is a great way to escape the crowds.
Our cruise trip began at the Chongqing Chaotianmen Dock, where we marveled at the cityās dazzling night skyline from the deck as the cruise slowly pulled away. During the following days, we enjoyed some of the most relaxing times. The landscapes across the different sections of the Three Gorges were endlessly stunning. We just needed to sit back on a chair on the deck or room balcony to soak them all in. Weāve also loved shore excursions to Fengdu Ghost City, White Emperor City, Lesser Three Gorges, Fengyan San Guo show…
If you are traveling with family and want a relaxing journey, donāt miss the Yangtze River Cruise.
