In the early morning, our Beijing driver will pick you up from your hotel, and then transfer you to Beijing railway station for a 2-hour high-speed train to Datong.
Upon arrival, a private local guide will pick you up on time. Then your Datong tour begins with a visit to the Yungang Grottoes, which is honored as one of the “Four Great Grottoes Arts”, together with Luoyang Longmen Grottoes, Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, and Tianshui Maijishan Grottoes. It was 460 AD when the Yungang Grottoes was carved. Travelers can learn the profound Buddhist history, culture, and arts through those grottoes and wall paintings.
Next, move to the miraculous Hanging Temple. Marvel at its building structures which are on the steep cliff. It’s also the only existing temple with unique features of Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism.
