Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Haikou

   So happy to have you on our 6-day Hainan tour in China! Upon your arrival in the capital of Hainan, Haikou, your private driver will meet you with a welcome board and transfer you to your well-selected hotel.

   If you arrive early, after check-in, you may also feel in mood of exploring the city at your own pace. Take a stroll around Qilou Snacks Street. This is the first scenic spot in Haikou got the A-level status. And it has a theme of specialty catering, which means you can try over 2,000 types of specialty snacks in the same place. Since its opening in 2010, Qilou Snack Street has seen so many local citizens and tourists come here to learn about Hainan's food culture

2. Day 2: Drive from Haikou to Sanya
   Explore Primitive Rainforests and Learn about the Ethnic Culture

   After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Sanya. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful natural scenery of Wanquan River. It takes about 3.5 hours to arrive in Sanya.

   Your tour guide will take you to visit Binglang Valley. Founded in 1993, it is based on tropical rainforests and features the folk customs and culture of Li and Miao Villages. The valley is named after its endless betel palms. You will see a lot of different types of trees like the graceful sea of betel nut forests, towering ancient trees, and intertwined tropical rainforests. And you can also learn more about the traditional skills (spinning, dyeing, weaving, and embroidery) which have been passed down for generations by the Li ethnic groups here. Performances and exhibitions inside the park are also major highlights, which will tell you how these communities have harmoniously lived with nature for centuries.

   

   Here, you can pay an additional fee to watch the Bing Lang Gu Yun Show, which is a large-scale live performance showcasing the cultural elements of the Li and Miao ethnic groups. It will last for 60 minutes.

   After the tour, we will escort you to the hotel in Sanya for check-in.

3. Day 3: Sanya's Nature and Culture
   Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone, Dadonghai Beach, Sanya Pedestrian Street

   Your Sanya tour begins with an exploration of the Nanshan Cultural Tourism Area. Located 40 kilometers southwest of Sanya city center, it is the southernmost mountain in China. And this place is also famous for its best air and sea quality in the country, and it even has a forest coverage rate of 97%. Many tourists also come to this place because it perfectly showcases traditional Chinese Buddhist culture.

   Your tour guide will take you to visit Nanshan Temple, which is built to face the South China Sea and it is actually modeled after Tang Dynasty architecture. And while you are walking through the site, you can learn about Buddhist culture through some exquisite statues and exhibits. Take your time here, and enjoy a peaceful experience in a serene surroundings with panoramic sea views.

   

   Afterwards, head to Dadonghai Beach, a landmark in Sanya, which has a coastline of 2.9 kilometers. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and the sea on one side, it’s quite beautiful with rows of emerald green coconut groves surrounding the beach. Colors show their greatest magic here. Blue sky and sea, green mountains and coconut trees, and white sandy beaches all together form a beautiful picture. You can enjoy all sorts of activities at your own expense here.

   In the evening, take a leisurely stroll along the bustling Sanya Pedestrian Street. Taste local cuisine, enjoy street performances, or pick up some small trinkets...

4. Day 4: Sanya Yalong Bay
   Enjoy Breathtaking Views, Adventure Activities, and Diverse Wildlife

   After breakfast, today's Hainan tour in Sanya takes you to Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park. It is divided into two areas, East Garden and West Garden, with more than 10 peaks, over 1,500 species of tropical plants, about 190 species of wild animals, and 210 bird's nest villas. This scenic area has a lot of attractions for tourists to visit.

   The Guolongjiang Bridge has a total length of 168 meters and is about 40 meters above the ground, making it the longest span and highest above ground iron cable bridge in Hainan. The Glass Bridge located in the mountaintop park was built around the world's largest natural Maitreya stone Buddha, where you can overlook the panoramic sea view. In addition, you can pay extra to experience rainforest maze, zip line, rock climbing, aerial cycling and other projects.

   

   When the sun sets, you will be transferred to Sanya Romance Park. You can experience some fun entertainment projects here - discovering mysterious totems telling the story of the origin of the Li ethnic group, Storm Eye, Mirror Maze, Love Street. The most famous is the large-scale song and dance performance, which showcases the history of "Lengend of the Sanya Romance" through lighting, sound, stage design, and special effects.

5. Day 5: Sanya Back to Haikou
   Hike through Rainforests and Explore Volcanic Wonders

   In the morning, we will take you to visit Phoenix Hill Park. The main peak in the park which is about 400 meters above sea level. It is the highest peak in the center of Sanya city and the only location where you can have a panoramic view of the four major bays of Sanya (Sanya Bay, the East China Sea, Yulin Bay, and Yalong Bay).

   This is also an area that offers a great exploration into local natural resources. There are tropical rainforests, diverse flora and fauna, and many people would find it ideal to have a hiking here. Walking about 2 kilometers, and you will find yourself already in the surrounded by the rich biodiversity.

   

   After the visit, drive back to Haikou to explore the Volcanic Cluster Global Geopark. This Global Geopark is about 15 kilometers from the city center. It attracts people with over 30 extinct volcanic cones and well-preserved lava caves here. The unique rock formations and crater landscapes allow visitors to trace the ancient geological history of Hainan.

   Stay at a hotel in Haikou and relax. In the evening, you can explore Haixiu East Road Commercial Street on your own, one of the largest commercial centers in Hainan. It boasts large supermarkets, department stores, branded clothing, jewelry, beauty salons, dining and entertainment, cinemas and other commercial and entertainment facilities.

6. Day 6: Departure from Haikou

   After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning at the Haikou hotel. The 6-day Hainan tour comes to a perfect end. Your private driver will pick you up and transfer you to the airport or train station for your onward journey. Bid farewell to Hainan and hope you had a good time with China Xian Tour.
