The design of the Ping An IFC draws inspiration from the bamboo with the symbolic meaning of rising steadily and continuously. Its crown is like a distinctive diamond.

Standing at 547.6 meters, it holds the Guinness World Record as the highest glass-bottom suspended viewing platform. Two ultra-high-speed sightseeing elevators are equipped. KK100 is the second highest skyscrapers in Shenzhen. Its streamlined appearance is like a waterfall cascading down the city. The height-to-width ratio of 9.5:1 is the largest among domestic skyscrapers. So the architecture appears slender with strong wind-resistance.
At the sightseeing floor on the 96th floor, tourists can have a 360° view of CBD, Shenzhen Bay and Diwang Building. On sunny days, it also offers a distant view of the mountains and cityscapes of Hong Kong. Want to challenge yourself? Try to step on the transparent glass bridge suspended in midair, winding from the 96th floor down to the 95th floor.
3.Ā China Resources Tower – Spring Bamboo Tower

4.Ā Shun Hing Square (Diwang Building) – Thinnest and Most Slender

Shun Hing Square used to be the highest building in Asia when it was completed in 1996. Its design draws inspiration from the Western churches in the Middle Ages and the essence of ancient Chinese culture of openness, transparency and slenderness. With a width-to-height ratio of 1:9, it has been the thinnest and most slender supertall skyscraper in the world. It is also the first supertall skyscraper with a steel structure in China.
The Shengangzhichuang sightseeing floor is on the top of the building, where you can have a birdās-eye view of both Shenzhen and Hong Kong. It is strongly recommended to visit there after 18:00 to enjoy both sunset and the splendid night view of both cities. Qianhai Shimao CenterĀ is famous for itsĀ world’s first 45° double helix twisting design. The exterior curtain wall and structure twist in sync. It has been the landmark of Qianhai Area. As a super Grade A office building, it is not equipped with a viewing platform either.
Tips: Tourists can appreciate its unique twisted shape from different perspectives on the ground square. Besides, Qianhaishi Park to the north of the architecture is the classic shooting place to capture both the sea view and the skyscraper. Another recommended place is the Dananshan Park to the east. Hailed as a “breathing green building”, Shenzhen Energy MansionĀ is renowned for its outstanding energy-saving and environmental protection technology and unique crystal shape. It has adopted over 10 energy-saving technologies, like double-layer breathing curtain wall and solar photovoltaic panels, reducing energy consumption by more than half.
Through the combination of glass panels at different angles, its facade creates a crystal-like effect that refracts light. This architecture does not have an observation deck either.
Tips: You can have a distant view of the building at the Sky Pier observation deck of Ping An IFC or in the restaurants and bars on the top floors of Excellence Century Plaza Tower 1. In addition, from the pavement on Shennan Avenue (south side) or Jintian Road (west side), photograph upwards to capture the scene of glass faƧade against the sky.
10.Ā HankingĀ Center – Tallest All-steel Supertall Building

Looking from the outside, Hanking Center is like a sculpture with sharp, angular lines. It is the worldās tallest all-steel supertall building with a fully external core tube. All the elevators, stairs and service shafts are outside the main structure. Hanking Center is also an office building without a viewing platform.
Tips:Ā The best shooting place is on the pedestrian overpass or auxiliary road of Shennan Avenue. If you want to overlook this Shenzhen skyscraper, go to the nearby Dashahe Park, Shenzhen Bay Park or Tanglang Mountain.
